Levi x Reader

"(F/n)! Get your ass over here." Shouted a very angry and annoyed voice. You gulped and stood up from desk. You saluted to your corporal as you felt a trickle or sweat run down your face.

"Y-yes sir?"

"All this-" He dumped a huge pile of paper work into your arms, "-Needs to be finished tonight." with that, he stormed off. You sighed and carried the pile to your desk and started working. By the time you were almost done, your head was starting to spin since you had your head down the whole morning and afternoon. Your stomach growled but didn't dare go get food worrying that your Corporal will shout at you for not being in your office doing the paperwork he gave you.

"Come in." You said when you heard a small knock on your door. A tall brunet peeked his head through the small opening.

"Uh...Squad leader?"

"Eren, you know I said come in right?" You chuckled as he walked nervously into your office.

"What is it cadet?"

"You missed lunch and you're gonna miss dinner if you don't come out your office ma'am." He stuttered.

"No need to be so tense Eren, I won't gice you laps-"

"Jaeger! What are you doing interrupting (L/n)? 20 laps." A very angry corporal barked. Eren stood up shakily and saluted quickly before he rushed out the door.

"Where were you during lunch brat?" He snapped at you.

"I-I....Uh....well.."

"Get to the point (L/n)."

"Well I was scared you will yell at me for not being in my office doing the paperwork you gave me so I decided to skip lunch and finish..." You looked up at the Corporal to see him standing right infront of you making you jump back suddenly and hitting you head on the shelf behind you earning a displeased 'Tch'.

"Come out for some dinner at least, you'll get sick." He said a little gentler.

"Since when did you care?" You blurted out instantly regretting it. You saw his face darken as he grabbed your collar hoisting you from your chair. You were shorter than him giving perfect advantage to tower over you.

"I cared since you came into the Corps. So now shut up and get down to the mess hall or you will be sorry." He hissed through gritted teeth as he released you. You rubbed your neck and walked out of your office without another word.

~Third Person~

As Levi watched you disappear into the mess hall as he started to look around your office. Hanji once swore she saw you write a letter adressed to Levi. He went through your draws carefully not wanting to mess anything up. Finally, he came across a sealed envolope adressed to him. He was about to open it when he heard an explosion coming from the library. He dropped the letter and sprinted to the library.

By the time everyone had arrived wanting to know what was going on, Soldiers were scattering out of the library coughing and choking from the smoke. Levi turned to see (F/n) rushing towards the coughing soldiers asking who else was in there. Levi saw her eyes widen as she rushed towards the burning building. I rushed forward and grabbed her wrist before she could go anywhere.

"What the hell are you thinking?!" Levi yelled at her.

"Mikasa is still in there....Someone has to help." She reasoned as she shook off my grip and rushed in ignoring Levi's pleas. (AU: Guess where I got that line from hmm?)

Levi was just about to rush in behind you when he was thrown back. He opened his eyes to see that the building has collasped. He heard gasps from the crowd as he felt tears in his eyes. He stood up shakily and wiped away his tears before anyone could see he was crying.

"I loved you...." Levi whispered

There was a mermorial service for Mikasa and (F/n) a week later as they found (F/n) body. They still haven't found Mikasa yet, but they said it was possible she was already burnt to ashes. Eren broke down when he heard the news and he is still in shock.

Everyone was in the mess hall when they heard footsteps. Everyone exchanged glances for eveyone but Mikasa and (F/n) was in the hall. A short moment later, Mikasa, torn and bloody, staggered into the room. 

"MIKASA!" Eren shouted and rushed up to her giving her a huge hug. Mikasa yelped as Eren released her. Levi however, about to explode with rage.

"How could you Ackerman?" Levi demanded.

"W-what?" Mikasa asked weakly.

"How did you get out there alive? (F/n) died trying to SAVE YOU!" Levi bellowed shaking all over from rage.

"That was her mistake."
