Chapter Six

Alessandro:

"Drew, pare, ba't ang tahimik mo? Kanina ka pa hindi kumikibo, a? Nag-away ba kayo ng girlfriend mo?" Who's girlfriend? Urg! Hell, Ace Montereal definitely caused my indeterminate mood while we were working in the farm.

I just needed to gather concrete evidences and that's it—pwede na akong umalis dito pero parang matatagalan ako sa set-up kung gan'to.

"Ah, oo, e." Sagot ko kay Nelson. Kapit-bahay namin siya. Ace was hell mad last night, no doubt. But she was hard-headed as stone!

But hell I knew, I crossed the line and that was below the belt.

"Sabing misis kong si Tina, ang sipag daw ng girlfriend mo. Halos buong araw ginugol para linisin ang bahay niyo," Napayuko ako. Why, that was true. The whole house was neat and clean. But I told her not to go out—pero tama naman talaga siya. Paano nalang yung kakainin o ang mga needed things inside that house? F**k.

Next time, ako nalang ang mag-go-grocery.

Sa daldal ng bibig niya, she could slipped any moment. I just didn't trust her bloody mouth—that's my reason!

"Kaya nga, sabi rin ni Isay, e." Marlon agreed. And that stroke my conscience. What I said to her was absolutely below the belt.

And my pride served as barrier now.

I was not used of seeing sorry and accept my fault. Especially to a woman!

"Hey, ang babagal niyong magtrabaho, a!" If my data was correct, she's the sole daughter of Mayor Topaz, Amanda Topaz, as I read the profile.

That was definite. That character was also noted on her profile.

"Hoy, kayo dyan! Do your work, be efficient! Walang libre dito sa lupain namin!" Bumalik ang atensyon namin sa pagkarga ng mga sakong tubo papunta sa truck.

"Hoy, ikaw, lalaking nakasuot ng color black na nike shirt. Halika nga rito," She was referring on me. I even checked my shirt. Sininyasan ako nina Marlon at Nelson na lapitan ang babae. I put down the sock and approached this woman. She was pretty—but because of too much make-up on her face. No doubt.

"Seniorita, good morning po." The woman confidently jumps off her horse. She was now eyeing at me from head to foot—like damn?

"Bago ka lang ba dito?" She asked with her stiff and seductive tone. I knew this type of woman. She really did a 360 turn and was checking on me, physically. "ngayon pa lang 'ata kita nakita dito? Who are you? What's your name?" Damn. But do I have a choice to shush this brat like how I did to Ace? That woman, I really think I needed to at least, drag my ego for now and apologize.

"Bagong trabahador, seniorita. Ako si Drew Juaquin." She stood now in front of me, nakatingala and was mind-sexing on me. Tsk! I knew what she was thinking right unto this moment—right in front of me, I was reading everything in her eyes like how those women tried to.

"Drew Juaquin, not so familiar—but it suits you." Hell, yeah, she was seducing by the sound of it. And no, I was not just presuming things—I smell women like a perfume. I had read almost every brand—well, almost.. Excluding Ace Montereal!

This spoiled woman ran her stick towards my broad shoulder down to my chest.

"Hindi ka ba naiinitan dito? I mean, look at your skin mukhang 'di sanay mabilad sa araw?" Puna niya sa'kin. Gumalaw ang panga ko—if this weren't a job I would threw her as* out of my sight.

I forged a smile. "Sanay na po ako, seniorita. Noon pa man ito na ang trabaho ko," Napatango-tango ito sa sinabi ko. She was measuring my earnestness and I gotta do my thing now—I was hitting a special card today, she's the daughter of the Mayor.

Pero kelangan ko ring mag-ingat.

"You can go back to your work, Drew. I'll see you tomorrow with a new job," She was smiling when she said that to me after commanding me to back. What new job? I wanted to ask pero sumampa na ito sa kabayo—still smiling like a dog habang papalayo.

She'll offer me a new job?

Inulan ako ng tukso when I got back on the field working. This was the first day that Amanda got her good mood over a man, sabi nila. Trabahador pa ng hacienda nila.

Well, if my new job tomorrow could get me closer to her father and their assets—I should be glad. My plan was running seamlessly. At mas lalong mamapadali.

It was six thirty in the evening when I arrived home, well, this would be my home for now. Dumating ako sa bahay and immediately went to the small bathroom, I didn't want her to see me too messed up and smelly for working the entire day.

I noticed all the lights were turned off when I finished bath. I grabbed my shirt and put it on while checking the kitchen. She cooked already.

I puffed an air. Go and stood outside her door. I knocked thrice.

"Essah," Tawag ko. I needed to say my apology to the woman. My temperament last day was senseless at kung hindi ko nalaman kina Nelson at Marlon—I wouldn't knew. I held the knob, hindi naka-lock.

"Essah?" I pushed the door but I was surprised, may ilaw naman sa loob ng kwarto nito. And she was there too, with her headphones on, busy writing about something on her notebook. Nakadapa ito sa gawang kahoy na kama.

My eyes pinned on her exposed legs and her butt was saying hello to me. She was wearing this lose dolphin shorts again and damn—hindi ko gusto naging reaction ko ngayon. I cleared my throat like a f***ing teenager!

"Ace," I call her using her name and made it a bit loud to reach her busy eardrum. She turned her stunned face to my direction. She blinked couple of times and then fix herself, covered her butt!

"I knocked pero hindi ka sumagot so I got in, let's eat dinner."

To hell! Naniningkit ko siyang nilapitan—I reached her hand and pulled her up with her startled aura.

"H-Hoy! Nag-aaral pa ako—"

"Let's eat dinner. Now." I don't tolerate hard-headed little tot!
