Iggy stood up, looking like he was going to cry as everyoneelsewas looking at him accusingly. "I wanted all of us to leave! This place is a death trap!"
Iggy walked a bit but was cornered by Warren, Gideon, and one other man. There's no way he shot Murphy. He seems like he's a coward. And he's crying now.
"Iggy, if you want people to start believing what you say, you gotta start telling the truth." Gideon said. Gideon whacked Iggy in the stomach with the talking stick before raising his voice. "The truth!"
"I am telling the truth, you bastard!" Iggy tackled Gideon.
"Oh, God. I'm not feeling too hot." I commented. I brought a hand to my stomach as I cried out in pain as quietly as I could. No one noticed except 10K, everyone else being too wrapped up in what was happening with Gideon and Iggy.
"Are you alright? What's wrong?" 10K immediately kneeled in front of me.
"I don't know." I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Come on. Let's get you to Doc." 10K helped me to my feet. He threw one of my arms over his shoulder and guided me to the bar. "Doc, something's wrong."
"Chris?" Doc pulled a seat over for me to sit in. He placed a hand on my cheek before going more worried. He moved his hand to feel my forehead. "She's burning up."
"What's wrong with her?" 10K looked panicked.
"I'm not sure, kid. I'm not even a real doctor." Doc sighed. "But remember, I did say I was worried about that hit she took the other day."
The other day they had been trying to find food. In their search, they ran into other survivors. It definitely wasn't a friendly interaction. I took a hit to the stomach before Warren could get to me. Warren had to kill the survivor to protect me.
"What can we do?" 10K asked.
"All we can do is get her comfortable, and make sure she doesn't get worse." Doc told him.
"That couch. I'll see if Gideon will let me bring it. Or should we take her to it?" 10K questioned.
"We probably shouldn't move her around to much. Do you want me to go with you to get it?" Doc offered.
"No, I'll get Vasquez." 10K said before walking off.
"The baby's gonna be okay, right?" I asked.
"I hope so. Here, I'll get my bag and check you out." Doc said, grabbing his bag.

Everyone began running into the room in a panic. 10K was the last one in. He closed the door behind him. After it was closed, he began to look around the room until his eyes settled on me. He moved over to me.
"What's going on?" I asked him.
"Zs in the hotel." He told me simply.
I sighed. "Can't we get a break?"
"Apparently not." He chuckled. Then he got more serious. "You don't worry about what's going on out there. I'll take care of that. You just rest and get better, okay?" I nodded. He leaned down to press a kiss to my lips. "What did Doc say?"
"He's not sure. I could be a number of things. He said the best bet is to just let me rest." I informed him.
"Then you should get some rest, alright?" 10K said.
"Alright." I agreed. He leaned down to kiss me again.
"I love you." He told me.
"I love you too." I smiled at him. I could see the worry in his eyes. I felt bad for making him worry, even though I had no control over it. He deserves to be happy.
