We all got out of the truck. Addy and I were in the back of the truck. Warren and Hector were in the front seat. Sun Mei and Doc were in the back seat with Jeff in between them in his car seat we got for him. We got him a bunch of stuff that he needed.

"He can't be far. The signal's too strong." Sun Mei told us.

"We don't find him soon, we better quit looking for Murphy and start looking for some gas." Hector said.

"Less than 500 meters. Straight ahead." Sun Mei told us.

"The baby." Addy reminded us.

"I'm his mother. I'll stay with him." I told them.

"Are you sure? I mean, I could stay with him." Doc offered.

"You don't have to. I got him." I assured him. He nodded.

"Be careful." He told me.

"We will. We'll just be right here." I told him. He nodded. I walked back and got in the back seat of the truck.

I watched them walk away. I sighed and looked around the street. There was a second hand store not far from the truck. I picked up my son from the back seat and walked to the store. I knocked on the glass to get the attention of any zombies that could be inside.

When there was nothing but silence inside, I went further into the store. I went back by the furniture to look for a folding crib. I didn't see one. There was a big wooden one, but I didn't want that one. It's not mobile. I need to move the crib around with us.

I sighed and searched more around the household objects. Not too far from the furniture, I found the strollers. I didn't particularly want a stroller either; it would be hard to use on rough terrain. Then I spotted the carrier. There was a couple front carriers, but I got more excited when I saw the carrier backpack. It was perfect.

I carried it back over by the crib to put Jeff in. I slipped the backpack on, making sure it strapped comfortably around me. It did. I took the carrier off. I picked up Jeff again and carried him and the carrier back to the truck. He wasn't old enough to be carried around in the carrier yet, but it was nice to find one.

The group was at the truck when I walked back out of the store. "What are you guys doing back so soon?"

"Murphy hid the transponder in a zombie. He knew we were tracking him." Warren sighed. "So now we need to search these cars for fuel."

"I'm on it chief." I nodded, throwing the carrier in the back of the truck.

I carried Jeff in my arms as I looked through car windows for anything useful. The others were doing the same as me, peaking through car windows while hoping to get lucky. It didn't seem like it was going to happen though.

"Not much here." Hector commented.

"Yeah, the entire world's been picked over 100 times by now." Doc sighed.

"Maybe we'll get lucky." Addy looked up at Doc with an optimistic smile. Doc sent her a skeptical look before starting to walk again. "Yeah, I don't know why I just said that."

"Look alive everyone, puppies and kittens." Warren brought our attention to a vehicle with zombies surrounding it. It looked like it was a mail truck.

"Wow somebody really wants their mail." Doc commented as we approached. I pulled out my pistol and stayed back. I made sure the earmuffs I got for Jeff were on him, covering his sensitive ears from the loud sounds that were bound to come.

"Anyone noticing anything unusual?" Addy questioned as they stopped. I walked up to stand with them..

"Yeah. They're not interested in us." Hector pointed out.
