Per usual, when Beomgyu finally settled in front of his mural, he debated whether or not to do the mural or read the notes first. Deciding to get the painting out of the way and respond to the compliments later, he grabbed his brushes and immediately set to work. He was excited considering he got to work on a new creature in the painting, depicting him perfectly in his mind and praying he could put that vision on the wall.

The figure he was painting today was simple, dressed in a blue school uniform, facing the same way as the others, and looking up at the sky. The unique thing about this particular boy was his small spikes on his left shoulder. Porcupine spikes, Beomgyu thought, simple and black with small highlights. The boy's blonde hair shone under the starlight, simple waves filling his head beautifully. Lastly, Beomgyu painted the boy's white shoes and one calf-high white and yellow striped sock. Peculiar, He thought, a small smile decorating his face. This one, he felt particularly close to. As if they were the same being and of the same understanding. The misfit trying his best to fit in in a constantly changing world.

Checking his watch, he realized he only took 20 minutes so after a second of debate, he decided to start the fourth figure. This boy was also simple, his back leaning against the large tree in the corner Beomgyu had painted in the beginning entries. His head was turned upwards like the others, his brown hair short and straight, curling around his ear gently. He wore a blue coat with grey pants, his foot against the side of the tree as he leaned against it. A bent, silver telescope lay beside him, and besides that a simple brown paper bag, eyes, a nose, and a mouth cut into it.

It wasn't until after he finished the painting that he had based this boy off the one that danced throughout his thoughts. He hadn't realized that he had captured Taehyun's calm but powerful aura in this painting, and he hadn't realized the similarities the two of them shared. As if accidental, he slowly began to realize what this band of misfits represented and he couldn't help but feel shocked with himself. A feeling of pride welling up in his gut as he gazed at the painting.

Stepping back from the wall he sighed, slowly reaching out to trace the quick-drying paint. As the mural began to come together he couldn't help but get excited. He was so close to finishing, only a few more things to go before it's completion.

But that also meant the reveal of his identity. Something that Beomgyu was less excited for. He was still scared to see everyone's reaction, especially his new friend groups. Specifically Taehyun's. How would they feel figuring out it was him all along they had been talking about. How would Taehyun feel when he realized that Beomgyu basically lied to him for weeks on end about his identity.

A small sense of guilt began to creep around Beomgyu's heart. He didn't want to hurt them, hurt him. But he also knew the best performance would be hidden away from prying eyes. And in the beginning, he thought that would be them. So how come he still felt dread curl around his heart and squeeze. He began to feel suffocated as he began to think up every single circumstance that could happen when his friends found out, none of them looking good in his eyes.

He sighed, shaking his head, and began to pack up before he faced the wall of expectations from his fellow students. He began to give his robotic responses of thanks and exclamations, even so appreciating each and every note. Lastly, he came to the rather long letter that he had begun to look forward to each night. He smiled at the delicate handwriting, brushing his fingertips over the blue ink before beginning to read the written words.

"Hello, mystery writer. Something happened with a friend of mine today. For some reason, it reminded me of you. I'm not sure how or why, considering it was a completely random situation, but it did. Maybe it was the way he handled it or responded to it, but either way, it reminded me of you. It reminded me more of my infatuation with you. I am also infatuated with him. You two tend to ride my thoughts lately. I'm actually kind of worried... but it doesn't matter right now. Anyways, this looks, as usual, amazing. I look forward to seeing the other characters you create. Each one you've done so far has reminded me of someone I know, so I'm quite excited to see the final product. Anyways, per usual, I ask:
