Shay's POV
I was in bed leaning against Draco's chest my thoughts starting to spiral out of control. I was excited for the quidditch match but so nervous. "You're an open book sweetheart" I turned my head to look at him and sighed "it's just some nerves... you know I get nervous easily" Draco smiled rubbing my back "I know but you've got no reason to be nervous. You're gonna do great" he kisses my cheek holding me close to his chest "I'm rooting for you and I promise you don't need any luck because you've beaten the Gryffindors before and you can do it again. For sure. I believe in you" he smiles kissing my cheek again not letting go of me. I sighed leaning my head on his chest and listening to his heart beat "what happens if something goes wrong?" He sighed "look at me shay" I shook my head and he held my chin tilting it upwards so I would look at him. "Nothing will go wrong. If something does go wrong then I'll be right by your side in an instant. I promise" I sighed softly and nodded "I love you dray. I really do" he smiles "I love you too sweetie pie"

I sighed and held my broomstick tightly trying to stay calm. I was always like this before a game. "Okay ready?" Everyone nodded and I just held the broomstick tightly closing my eyes and breathing calmly "three... two... one... go!!" I watched as the golden snitch flew past me and the bludger started to frantically dart from one place to another. I tilted the tip of the broomstick up beginning to chase the golden snitch looking behind me noticing the Gryffindor seeker. I cursed quietly and tried to move faster "you snake! I'm winning this!" The boy yelled and I glared at him "oh of course you are!" I drifted off in a different direction and noticed how close the Gryffindor seeker was getting to me. He followed my every step until I braced myself and tilted the tip of the broomstick downwards and I plummeted towards the ground sharing a look with the other seeker who sneered at me. I took a sharp left and bashed into the seeker who started to spin uncontrollably and fell downwards. I sighed before looking around, my eyes locking with the snitch again. I rushed towards it and as I was close to it I carefully let go of my broomstick and put one foot onto it and my other foot infront before balancing myself and reaching towards the golden snitch. My fingers brushed the wings until I heard a quiet voice "I hope you die bitch" I turned my head just in time to notice the other seeker who was plummeting towards me. I let go of my broomstick before grabbing it and hanging onto it for dear life. People gasped and I looked down breathing heavily. Draco, Snape, Lucius and a few other Slytherins were on the pitch watching with concern. My arm weakened and I let go closing my eyes tight "I love you Draco" I whispered knowing I wouldn't be able to survive this.

Draco's POV
I watched as she hit the ground with a horrifying cracking noise. "Oh god" I whispered running towards her kneeling down beside her holding her head in my hands before putting the back of her head onto my lap gently caressing her face "oh please wake up princess... I'm right here" Snape knelt down beside me and my dad began to shout at people to back away and give us space "mrs pomfrey will know what to do" Snape said and tried to pick shay up but I shook my head "I'll do it" Snape looked worried but slowly nodded. I picked shay up holding her close to my chest pressing kisses to her forehead. I rushed to the hospital and lied her down on the bed sitting down taking her hand in mine. Mrs pomfrey came in with a cold flannel "put this on her forehead and dab it occasionally for me" I nodded and began to push it against her forehead trying to cool her down. Mrs pomfrey began to assess shay and eventually she sighed "she'll be fine. She's got a broken arm and a torn ligament but nothing else. She's a lucky girl" I nodded kissing shay's hand rubbing my thumb against her hand. I watched as shay was given five needles "when she awakes I'll give her some potion to numb the pain and fix all the scars and breaks"

After a while shay moved and I stood up caressing her cheek. She groaned softly "I'm here sweetheart. I'm right here." I rubbed her cheek trying to soothe her as best as possible. She whimpered and I closed my eyes a tear falling down my cheek. I didn't want my baby girl to die. Snape was sat on the other chair staring at shay anxiously. Very slowly shay's eyes opened and mrs pomfrey quickly helped her drink the potion "it isn't very nice I know" mrs pomfrey said sympathetically and I squeezed shay's hand gently. She was doing so well.

Shay's POV
The medicine tasted awful. Beyond awful. Mrs pomfrey stepped away and Draco looked into my eyes smiling gently at me. I reached up with my good arm and wiped away the tears on his cheek "it's okay dray. I'm okay" he held onto me gently. I squeezed his hand and Snape stood up and pressed a kiss to my forehead holding me close "you're so brave" I smiled at him thanking Snape softly "I love you dad" he smiled "I love you too shay" he sat back down and I watched as mrs pomfrey left the room "dray come in" he looked bewildered "what?" I patted the bed and Draco shook his head "I could hurt you" I smile and hold his arm "cmon dray. I want cuddles" I pouted and he smiled "aww okay." I moved over and he climbed into the bed pulling me into his chest holding me tight "mmm I love you" I smiled burying my head into his chest breathing in his scent "I love you too dray" he held my waist gently and rubbed my back slowly "you did me proud even though that Gryffindor played dirty" I kissed his cheek smiling "I'm glad I made you proud dray" he chuckled leaning close to me "you always make me proud" he kissed my head "oh please will you two stop?" Snape asked pulling a disgusted face. I giggled "sorry dad" I cuddled into Draco's chest giggling as Snape scoffed. They really really did love me and I'm so lucky to have them in my life.
