Ember's POV
"Harry... that's Katie bell... behind you" I looked up from my work and turned to look at the golden trio. I was in ravenclaw although I was very close to the three of them as well as Draco malfoy. Yes Draco Malfoy. He isn't all bad he's just had it rough. He's quite a kind person but sometimes he is a bit mean well quite mean. Evil even but he is very misunderstood. I watched as Harry stood up and went to talk to Katie. I listened to their conversation until Katie fell silent and so did Harry. That's kind of weird. I looked up and saw Katie looking at someone. I looked towards the entrance of the great hall and saw Draco a horrified almost guilty look on his face. Katie was pulled away by her friends whilst Harry began to follow Draco. "Oh god" I whispered. Draco couldn't of done that to Katie. No way. I stood up and followed after Harry only seeing the glimpse of his cloak as he rounded a corner. I sped up until I was next to the bathroom not daring to go in. Harry was standing there whilst Draco cried harder and harder. "I know what you did malfoy..." Draco turned around and stared at Harry his face emotionless "you hexed her didn't you?!" Draco stayed silent before thrusting his wand forward in a quick movement. I hid myself behind a wall as a light blue ball flew directly towards Harry. I heard footsteps and I made my way into the bathroom very slowly. Glass shattered and I flinched backing away again not wanting to get hurt. The room was dead silent apart from the sound of water running. I ran into a cubicle jumping on top of the toilet as a blue flash went under all the cubicles. Draco grunted and both of them ran to the sinks until they were face to face. "Sectumsempra!" Harry yelled in somewhat of a panic and my eyes widened knowing I had to do something. I ran out of the cubicle pushing Draco over before falling over beside him. I started to shake as pain ran up and down my body my white shirt quickly turning into a blood bath within seconds. Harry was breathing heavily whilst Draco was staring at me his eyes wide. "This is all your fault potter!" Draco yelled his voice quivering. I tried to keep my eyes open but I struggled. I watched as draco picked his jumper up kneeling down beside me and adding pressure onto the large cuts. "I-it was an accident" Harry almost whispered before being nudged out of the way by a dark figure. I watched as snape appeared and I sighed closing my eyes. I was struggling to breathe and every movement was painful. Draco grabbed my hand tightly "it's okay ember I'm right here" I looked into Draco's eyes my head falling to the side as I fell into a pit of darkness.

Draco's POV
her hand went weak in my hand and I began to panic slightly "oh dear god" I whispered squeezing her hand gently. Snape whispered under his breath until her blood stained shirt was white again and she looked fine. Peaceful almost. I was meant to get that curse. Not her. "You better get the hell out of here Harry... otherwise I'll do something you were too afraid to do in the first place" Harry took a step backwards and went to say something but put his head down and turned away rushing off. "Is she going to...?" I whispered not being able to finish the sentence "die? No. Have scars? Maybe so. Be in pain for most of her life? Yes" Snape said and I let go of embers hand watching as her hand hit the ground gently. Her pale face had no life in it and that's the what I see every time I shut my eyes. "I'll take her to hospital mr malfoy you go back lesson" I nodded and looked at her once more before turning away and walking off. I can't let others get hurt because of me. Never again.

Embers POV
I woke up and looked around noticing my surroundings were quite strange "hello miss grey." I squinted slightly at the woman infront of me "I'm madam pomfrey. I'm nursing you back to your health and I think you'll be ready to go back to lessons very soon. You've been out for about five weeks" my eyes widened slightly "yes I know. Long time. But your body and most importantly your brain needed rest. I've taken care of all your bad memories. Professor Dumbledore and Professor Snape helped me with that" I nodded not fully understanding the extent of what had happened. "Okay my love. Take some of this. Sorry it doesn't taste the best either" I took the green coloured vial before bringing it to my nose "I would just get it down if I were you hun" I looked at her before nodding and bringing it to my lips. As the cold liquid fell into my mouth I cringed at the taste before swallowing it as fast as possible "ew, that tastes like blood" she nodded "sorry my dear but yes. Magical creature blood can help you" my eyes widened slightly "I-i didn't need to know that" she smiled a little bit "Okay you can get going whenever you want. I've told teachers to help you when needed and if you need to leave lessons early then they'll let you okay?" I nodded and slowly stood up "thank you."

I walked slowly down the steps smiling at the pictures. "Oh my gosh it's ember grey" a lady with a baby said and everyone else in the pictures gasped and began to almost fangirl. The knight started running back and forth like a maniac. I laughed a little bit before walking through the doors of the hall. I looked around people instantly falling silent and looking at me. I watched as Harry stood up and rushed towards me his arms wrapping around me tightly "I'm so sorry... so so sorry" I smiled "it's okay Harry. I forgive you." He pulled away slowly and smiled at me before going back over to his table. I began to limp towards my table until someone held onto both my arms and I turned my head giggling as I noticed the Weasley twins "up you go" they both said in sync and they lifted me up before helping me sit down "ask for help anytime" George said and I smiled "thanks boys" I turned my attention to the blonde boy who was sat at his table looking sad. I made eye contact with him and smiled. He smiled slightly and I waved and he followed my movements before putting his head in his arms. "He's sad because he's got a two month detention with snape" I raised my eyebrows slightly "I think you've got an admirer Ember..." Fred said and I laughed "shut up... I'm not even in Slytherin" George pointed over to the teachers table and I looked over to where Snape was and watched as he was talking to Dumbledore "fifty points to Ravenclaw for Ember grey's bravery!" I blushed slightly and both twins nudged me "see? You've got an admirer" I sighed "fineee say it..." I mumbled and both boys grinned "told you so!" I smiled laughing a little before copying Draco's actions and letting my head fall into my arms.
