Y/n's POV
I hesitantly walked into my home. Or should I say "orphanage" yes it's more like an orphanage than a real home. I'm treated like crap and Draco is treated like he's on top of the world. The Weasley house is more of a home and the Weasley's are more of a family than my actual family will ever be. I looked at the door as it slammed shut before I sighed running a hand through my hair "y/n malfoy!" Came that voice I have hated since childhood. I stood tall staring back at my father with an ice cold glare. "Father" I said putting my hand in my pockets already uncomfortable. "Where have you been? You're twenty minutes late" I looked at my wrist trying to figure out the time on my nonexistent watch "oh gosh! Even if I was two seconds late you would scold me." I said sarcastically and Lucius frowned staring at me angrily. He's not my father anymore. He's just Lucius. I wouldn't say that to his face though. "Were you with those little Weasley's again?" I took a step forward "and if I was why does it matter?" He stepped closer to me so he was staring down at me "because you're a malfoy" I shrugged before paying my attention to another voice. The one I dreaded all along. My brother. "and not one of those disgraceful Weasley's... they make me sick" I scoffed "everything makes you sick Draco" Lucius got closer "don't talk to your brother like that" I sighed "okay now that Draco is here we can tell you that we have a meeting with the dark lord" I frowned "no way" I said and Lucius smiled "you've got to y/n. Don't make me force you" I glared up at him "if you force me so be it" Lucius rolled his eyes "you need to change... you need to change your attitude right now! I'll force you to do it... and you need to change who you are otherwise... something bad will happen" I glared at him "is that a threat father?" He shook his head a sly smirk on his face "it's a promise" I let out a shaky breath "you can't change who I am" I whispered and Lucius stared down at me "excuse me? Want to speak up young lady?" I looked up at him and smiled shaking my head "nothing father" Draco looked at me with raised eyebrows before he followed Lucius. I followed behind and walked into the room my eyes locking with his eyes. He only wanted me for one reason. I was Harry's friend that he knew he could easily get to. "Ahh you've finally joined us. Delightful to see you again y/n" I sat down nodding a little bit in Voldemort's direction. Draco, Lucius and narcissa sat opposite me making me feel like I was all alone. "Where is he?" Voldemort asked and I stared at him "who?" I asked trying to not focus on his nonexistent nose. His face was quite disturbing. "You know who!" He yelled slamming his hands on the table causing Lucius to jump slightly "Harry Potter? Oh he left town." Voldemort frowned "you what?" I smiled and nodded "yeah it's Draco's fault though" Draco looked at me his eyes wide "how so?" Voldemort asked looking between me and Draco "Draco froze Harry on the train and threw the invisibility cloak over him. Harry's back in London" I said lying through my teeth "girl you're lying!" Lucius shouted and I smirked at him "oh am I now? You weren't on the hogwarts express now were you... Lucius? I was. I saw everything that happened" everyone gasped a little bit and I looked at bellatrix who looked like she wanted to punch me. "How dare you!" Lucius shouted before standing up and slapping me harshly "change your attitude right now!" He yelled his eyes swarming with fire "you can't change who I am!" I yelled back ignoring Voldemort's angry voice. I stood up and started walking towards the doors before my hair was grabbed and I was pulled to the ground breathing heavily "are you a malfoy or a weasley?! Where is Harry Potter?" Lucius yelled kicking my face and I cringed covering my face "do one" I whispered and Lucius grabbed my hair before lifting me up off the ground causing me to grip my head "change your attitude!" He yelled in my face. I looked up at him through watery eyes "make me" I whispered before he through me to the ground causing me to hit the floor hard. He kneeled down beside me and held my hair tight "change who you are and make sure you know which family you're in!" I looked in his eyes grabbing the port key which was in my pocket. Thank god George told me to take this "you can't change who I am" I growled gripping the port key tightly "yes I can. Just you wait y/n. Just you wait!" I closed my eyes smiling in satisfaction as everyone began to shout and yell. They had no idea where I was going.

I fell onto the ground breathing heavily. "Y/n? Oh y/n!!" Mrs Weasley shouted and I struggled to get up but I managed. She took my hand in hers and smiled at me "gosh dear. A nice warm bath will do you good" I nodded and limped into the Weasley burrow with her trying to stay stable. As we walked in Arthur hurried over to me "are you okay" he held my hand and I nodded smiling "I'm okay Arthur. Thank you" he was definitely a father figure to me. Mrs Weasley helped me to the bathroom before leaving me inside so I could do what I needed to do. After a long soothing soak in the bath I got out wrapping a towel around me. I dried myself off and put on my Christmas jumper that Mrs Weasley had made for me. I smiled before walking out my eyes locking with Ron's "oh hey y/n" I smiled a little bit "Hey Ron" i limped towards him and he watched me "what happened?" I frowned "Lucius" Ron frowned and wrapped his arms around me. "I'm sorry" I shook my head "it's okay" I smiled a little bit before flinching as loud bangs erupted around the house. I ran outside watching as Lucius, Draco, bellatrix and some other death eaters walked towards me. Arthur, Fred, George, Mrs Weasley, ron, Harry and Hermione all ran out and made a shield around me before they shot spells back at the death eaters. Mrs Weasley started battling Lucius and I watched her with admiration "not my step daughter you bitch!" She yelled and I felt my heart go all warm. I smiled a little bit watching as the death eaters all disappeared except Draco who just stood there with wide eyes. He looked at us all before locking eyes with me and shaking his head he then turned around and ran away as fast as he could. I let out a sigh of relief and smiled wrapping my arms around Arthur and Mrs Weasley. "Thank you" I whispered and she kissed my head "no problem dear. Stay here as long as you need" I smiled before focusing on Fred and George who immediately pulled me into a group hug. They held me tight and I gripped them "I was so scared" I whispered and Fred looked into my eyes smiling softly "well you don't have to be scared anymore" George then cut it "the Weasley's are always here to welcome you home" I smiled and pulled them closer to me. How on earth did I get such amazing best friends? I'm so lucky.
