Shay's POV
I picked the bowl up and started to eat the ice cream hungrily. "God I haven't had this type of ice cream in ages!" Draco pushed his ice cream away and coughed slightly "it's disgusting" I rolled my eyes "to you it is... but to me it's delightful" he scoffed slightly before falling silent as Professor Quirrell ran into the great hall. "Troll!!!! In the dungeon!!!! Troll in the dungeon!!" He screamed his eyes wide. "Thought you ought to know..." he said before fainting. His body hit the ground hard and everyone started to freak out. Draco screamed; looking absolutely petrified whilst Harry and Ron stood up their eyes wide. As we all rushed out of the great hall my mind went to hermione and I cursed quietly before running towards the girls bathroom. I had to warn her otherwise she could easily get killed by this troll. As I was running towards the bathroom a huge shadow appeared on the wall and my eyes widened "oh god no" I whispered before turning around and running towards the corner of the wall and hiding behind it. I watched as the troll stomped towards the girls bathroom. He could easily murder me. As his shadow disappeared I ran the other direction as I knew a secret passageway to the girls bathroom. I opened the door quietly before looking around "Hermione!" She flinched and looked at me wiping her tears "we need to go now" she looked awfully confused "what?" I took a deep breath "there's kinda... umm... a troll strolling around looking for an early meal" her eyes widened and I nodded "I know... now let's go" I grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the door until a loud smashing sound was heard and the huge troll appeared out of no where "well..." Hermione started and I stared gobsmacked at the troll in front of me. "Run!" I yelled as the troll swung at us. Hermione hid underneath the sink "hey you big oaf!" I yelled pulling my wand out dodging him as he once again swung at me "swish and flick! Swish and flick!!!" Hermione yelled and I looked at her pointing my wand at the troll "wingardium leviosa!" I yelled but watched as nothing happened "shay watch out" Hermione yelled and I ran through the trolls legs before kicking it to try and knock it to the ground but nothing worked. "Hey pea brain!" Someone yelled and I turned my head feeling relief as I noticed Ron. He threw a rock at the troll and the troll made a confused sound "get out of here you moron!" I yelled but the troll only made a amused sound picking me up with its hand "put me down!!! Now!" I yelled ducking down as he tried to hit me with the wooden club in his other hand. "What do I do?!" Ron asked "anything!!!" I screamed watching as Harry pointed his wand up at the troll followed by Ron. "swish and flick Ron! Swish and flick!" She shouted and I ducked again as both boys simultaneously shouted "wingardium leviosa!" I watched as the wooden club flew into the air and the troll stared up at it completely baffled. The wooden club fell back down hitting it in the head. The trolls eyes went cross eyed before he started falling to the ground. I closed my eyes tight letting out a slight yelp as I hit the ground. "Ew" I said staring at my wand which was shoved up the trolls nose. I tried to push the troll off of me but it was too heavy. "Explain yourselves! Both of you..." came an authoritative yet worried voice. I looked up noticing Professor McGonagall, Quirrell and Snape. "It's my fault Professor McGonagall... if Harry and shay and Ron hadn't come in time then I'd probably be dead..." all the teachers looked at me and their eyes widened. Snape rushed over to me helping me get out from underneath the troll "Y-y-you better b-be off b-before t-t-the troll w-wakes u-up..." Professor Quirrell said and we all started to walk out. Snape held my arm over his shoulder and helped me walk out of the bathroom. "Your actions were very silly shay" I looked at him "but I couldn't just let her die!" Snape sighed "I know... but... you still did very well and proved you're brave, cunning and ambitious... fifty points to Slytherin" he said and I smiled pumping the air with my other hand before letting out a whimper and bending over gripping my arm with my other hand "merlin's beard" I whispered squeezing my eyes shut tight "let's go to the hospital wing... madam pomfrey will help" I nodded and he helped me walk to the hospital.

I sat down on the bed and Snape rolled up my sleeve looking at my arm "that's a bad break... madam pomfrey wants you to drink this..." he handed me a bubbling black liquid and I stared at it before looking at him unsure "it's safe I promise although it does taste like goblins piss" I sighed and nodded "thanks for the heads up Professor" he nodded and looked away as I tipped the liquid into my mouth. He was right. Very right. It tasted like goblins piss or as muggles like to say: shit. I coughed slightly and Snape rubbed my back before pulling his wand out and pressing it against my arm "Brackium emendo" he said over and over again until eventually I heard a crack and I could move my arm again "there you go. Much better" madam pomfrey came along and bandaged my arm up before putting it in a sling "get better" she said smiling. I thanked her quietly before leaning back against the bed "can you tell my professors why I'm not in class?" I asked and Snape nodded "sure thing. I'll tell draco and he'll probably come to see you" I nodded and smiled "thanks Professor"

A few hours went by and I watched as the curtain was pulled back and I smiled as Draco and Snape walked in. "Hey" Draco said and put a chocolate frog and a cute card on the bed "thank you draco" he smiled "no problem. How are you? You're practically famous" I raised my eyebrows "really?" Draco smirked and nodded "yeah... you fought off a mountain troll and lived to tell the tale...." Draco smirked taking my hand in his "you're the girl who lived"
