Amethyst's POV
I walked out of the door and onto the courtyard going to hopefully find my two best friends. Fred and George. They were both twins and sometimes it was difficult to tell which one was George and which one was Fred but it was still funny when they made me George was Fred and Fred was George. Well they found it hilarious and won't ever let me live it down. "Amethyst, hold up!" I turned around and noticed Cedric Diggory "oh hey Cedric" he smiles and pulled the strap of his bag up closer onto his shoulder "I know we've been through a lot recently and I was wondering whether you'd like to go to the Yule ball with me?" I watched him looking into his eyes before sighing softly and looking down "Cedric-" I was about to say something but I was cut off by a loud voice "Diggory you aren't bothering her are you?" Cedric and I both looked up into the tree and noticed Draco sitting there a content smile on his face. Cedric didn't say anything he just stared at Draco then looked at me "amethyst you have to be kidding me. He's a slytherin." I shook my head "so? That doesn't really matter" I watched as Draco jumped down from the tree and started to storm towards Cedric who was now taking a few steps backwards. I knew this was going to end in a blood bath so I stepped infront of Cedric putting my hands against Draco's chest "dray breathe..." he looked down at me staring into my eyes. I smiled lifting my hand to his cheek rubbing my thumb against his cheek "breathe... in... out" I played with his blonde hair and he sighed quietly before looking up at Cedric "get out of here Diggory. She already has a date" Draco scowled at him before I turned Draco around wrapping my arm around his waist and pulling him away so nothing worse would happen. "How dare he do that? He should've hurried his fat ass up to ask you if he wanted you that badly" I smiled "he should've but I've got you dray. I won't leave you, okay?" He leaned his head against mine and hummed softly "promise?" I nodded "I promise. Pinky?" He nodded and I wrapped my pinky around his and watched as he kissed his hand. I kissed mine and smiled "now it's sealed. I won't break your trust" he wrapped his arms around me holding me against his chest "good girl" I blushed slightly hiding my face in his neck breathing in the scent of his cologne. Mint and hot chocolate. I slowly broke away from the hug and kissed his cheek "you're mine and I'm yours" he said softly and I nodded. I pulled him in for one more hug before pulling away as I heard someone clear their throat. I turned around and there stood Fred and George with their arms crossed over their chests "hey boys" they raised their eyebrows not responding "I'll see you later" I squeezed Draco's hand and he nodded smiling at me lovingly. I pulled away and walked towards Fred and George. George grabbed my ear and started pulling me around "ow! Hey get off of me you lunatic!" He let me go and both of them stared me down which made me very uncomfortable "why did you say yes to him?" Fred whined and I smiled "because one: he's cute and two: no other boy was keen to ask me out" they both threw their hands up "you could've asked us!" I laughed "but you guys are my best friends..." they rolled their eyes "fineeee. But you're missing out... you won't get any chocolate from us for a whole..." they both looked at each other "year!" They said simultaneously "oh I haven't heard that one before" I said laughing causing them to both scoff. "See you at the ball" Fred winked really weirdly and I laughed "yeah see you guys later. Weirdos"

Yule ball

I walked down the staircase noticing draco in a suit a smile on his face as he saw me. He took my hand and squeezed it "you look beautiful. I love that dress on you" I smiled "thank you" we walked into the hall and he pulled me onto the dance floor his hands finding a comfortable place on my waist. I smiled wrapping my arms around his neck "what song do you want?" I shrugged "any" Draco nodded and kissed my forehead "hey Blaise play chasing cars" Blaise looked at Draco and nodded "coming right up man" Draco smirked before looking back down at me pressing little kisses to my forehead. The song started and I listened to every lyric dancing in sync with Draco. As the song slowly came to an end I pulled Draco closer "Oh Draco I love you" I pulled away looking into my eyes "I love you too... here..." he reached into his pocket and opened the little box. A ring with a snake on it was revealed and Draco smiled "it's a promise ring..." I slowly took it and put it onto my finger "those three words are said too much... but I won't ever stop saying... I love you" I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled. He started to lean in and he kissed me passionately. His soft lips against mine lit fireworks in my stomach and from that one kiss I knew something... I was falling so very hard for Draco malfoy.
