Shay's POV
"Where is Harry Potter?" Bellatrix asked a cruel smile on her face. "I've already told you that! He's in hogwarts" she sneered at me and she sighed standing up "I don't want to hurt you..." I laughed "after everything you've done... I really can't believe you" I said and she shook her head before storming out of the room. I rolled my eyes and looked down at my hands which were bound with rope and I was tied to a pole in the middle of the room. I miss all my family. My friends. Especially my boyfriend, Snape. After about twenty minutes she walked back in a tense feeling swarming around the room. "You're pathetic. Lying to me. Huh? You really think you're that clever? Well you're not" she glared at me and I glared straight back "you asked two rhetorical questions you rhinoceros... so that could simply be answered with yes... or no... or a more "pathetic" answer" I scowled at her and she scoffed "did you just call me a rhinoceros? As an insult? You can do better than that sweetie" she said in her horribly high pitched evil giggly voice. I called her a rhinoceros for a reason. I mean I went to hogwarts for a reason. She'll grow a rhinos horn sooner or later. It's a curse. Irreversible. "Bring him in!" Bellatrix shouted and I watched as Voldemort, Lucius, a fidgety Draco and narcissa walked into the room. They were followed by two death eaters who held Snape tight and shoved him into the room. "Let her go please" he pleaded and Voldemort looked towards Snape and glared at him "What was that?" Snape clenched his jaw "just let her go... she doesn't deserve this. This was my fault!" Voldemort got closer to Snape and I froze and began to get worried "she knows where potter is" Voldemort spat and Snape looked at me with sad eyes before he looked down shaking his head. He tried to pull out of the death eaters grip but they just wouldn't let him go. "Bellatrix go ahead" Voldemort said a wide smile on his face. I closed my eyes knowing what was to come. Bellatrix had told me what she was going to do. She said over and over again that she would "torture" me. Bellatrix skipped over to me and cut the rope around my wrists away before she grabbed my hand and stared at my palm. I watched her, noticing the crazed look in her eye. This wasn't a joke anymore. I looked towards Draco and tried to get something out of him. Something called kindness. But nothing seemed to work. He wouldn't make eye contact with me. None of them would. Were they really scared of Bellatrix and Voldemort? I rolled my eyes and scoffed quietly. "Now don't be too loud" Bellatrix spoke in a quiet tone and I glared at her. I watched as she pulled her wand out and started to push the tip of it against the palm of my hand. It felt like a knife. I looked at Lucius and made eye contact with him. He stared at me an ice cold look on his face before he put a finger to his lips and smiled. He's insane. That is confirmed. I looked back down now noticing that the wand had turned into a sharp looking knife. It felt like little but sharp teeth digging into the palm of my hand at first until it felt like fire was pulsing through my blood. I looked at Snape just wanting to be held. To be in his arms. To be safe. Bellatrix moved up to my wrist and the pain got worse. I tried to keep the act up but I couldn't.

Tears fell down my cheeks rapidly as I tried to get away the pain getting excruciatingly worse. Draco and that lot had now left but Snape was still here being held back. "Severus!" I cried struggling to get out of the rope. Snape began to struggle in the death eaters arms. He wanted to break free but he couldn't. They were so strong. "Just stop this!" He yelled and Bellatrix laughed continuing to dig the knife into my wrist. "Tell me where potter is and I'll let you go! Just give me the location and you'll be pain free" I closed my eyes tight and leaned my head back trying to keep the words on the tip of my tongue silent. Snape was now screaming louder  begging Bellatrix to stop. "It's okay you can tell them sweetheart" Snape cried towards me and I looked at him shaking my head "fine have it your way" Bellatrix said before she moved the knife up to my neck and pressed down hard causing a boiling heat to cover my entire neck. "He's at Hogwarts!" Snape cried and Bellatrix dug the knife further into my skin "lies! Quit lying to me. The both of you!" She cackled and I looked at Snape begging with my eyes for him to stay silent as I would rather die Instead of Harry and the other hogwarts students. "Where?!" She yelled and I glared into her eyes "he's building your grave" I growled my eyes tearing up. She pulled back a shocked look on her face before she slapped my cheek hard. "Don't touch her!" Snape shouted but I kept my eyes on Bellatrix. "Tell me" she said kneeling down in front of me as she pointed her wand at me "I. Don't. Know" she growled angrily "crucio!" She shouted and I heard Snape shouting something before a pain spiralled throughout me. My body felt numb as the pain ran through me.

Snape's POV
"Stop it!" I yelled watching shay's body as she shook violently from the crucio curse. "You tell me and I stop it" I glared at her watching what looked like blood fall from shay's mouth and I quickly sat up straighter "he's gone to London! London... with granger and Weasley" Bellatrix took a step towards me "where?! Final time I ask before I kill her!" My eyes widened "near that theatre! You'll see it! It's big. I don't know what you call it. He went to find something. In london!" I yelled my voice cracking slightly and she took a step backwards before flicking the wand towards the death eaters. They dropped me to the ground and I watched as shay was cut free and she dropped to the floor weakly. "Not that hard" Bellatrix said in a sing song voice but I didn't respond. I rushed towards shay falling to my knees immediately caressing her head trying to see if she was okay. "Shaylee? Honey? Please wake up" I whispered my heart pounding hard. I looked outside noticing how dark it was. It wasn't safe. Not here at least. I stood up and picked shay up holding her close to my chest before hurrying out of what I assumed was the malfoy manor.

I walked out the door and used the port key to get back to hogwarts although the malfoy's used it for their dirty business. I took my robes off and wrapped them around shay and walked into hogwarts making it look like she was asleep. I rushed back to my classroom and put her on a desk before hurrying to my potions and started to brew one to try and help her regain strength.

Shay's POV
I opened my eyes slowly and looked up noticing an oddly familiar ceiling. I turned my head noticing Snape "Severus?" I whispered. He turned his head to look at me and he rushed towards me with a green almost fizzing potion. "Yeah? It's okay. I'm okay if you're wondering. You're okay too. You might just be in pain and a bit confused but this will help" he said a smile on his face. I took the potion from his hand and immediately drank it wanting the pain to be eased. Snape wrapped an arm around me and I leaned into him exhausted "what happened?" I asked not being able to remember a thing. Snape only shook his head "you hit your head hun. Nothing bad" I looked at him confused "but why does my entire body hurt?" Snape shook his head and shrugged "nothing to worry about darling. Alright?" I nodded leaning my head against his chest "You have to fear the living..." he said and i frowned "what?" He sighed "never mind. Now you relax okay? You may get some dizzy spells but that is normal" I rubbed my forehead confused "Why aren't you telling me the truth?" I asked knowing something was off. "I will tell you one day but for now I just want to protect you from things I can control. But I cannot control the people around you" I had an idea of what had happened but I wasn't going to bring it up "Severus?" I asked quietly and he hummed quietly playing with my hair "Bellatrix?" I asked and watched as he closed his eyes tight and clenched his jaw "is it about her?" I asked sitting up straight and Snape slowly nodded "you don't want to know what she did. I've taken some memories away so you don't have to have the flashbacks of those horrifying events" he held me closer to him. "I love you" I said softly and he smiled "I love you too... just... remember... I do this for a reason" I nodded slowly and smiled "I know you do... whatever happened just forget and forgive?" I asked and Snape looked into my eyes and shook his head "it's not as easy as that... I cannot forget... or forgive. That bitch hurt you and whoever hurts someone I love doesn't want to cross my path ever again" I smiled a little bit at his protective side before kissing his cheek "I'm safe now okay? I'm not going anywhere" he nodded "good. I'm never letting you out of my sight...." I smiled and nodded "I'm fine with that" he nodded holding me closer to his chest before resting his chin on the top of my head
