Sana's Breakdown

It's been two hours Sid has left the room. Sana was wondering where he was. She got up from the couch, took her night gown from the bag, went in the bathroom and changed. She pushed all the rose petals to one side of the bed and lay on it. She was feeling weird all alone in this room, so had kept the lights on. She fell asleep. Sana saw herself standing on the mountain in Sid's arms. She looked at him. He was smiling at her. That smile which had melted her heart n number of times. She could also see love in them and she puts her hand on his chest. She could hear his heart beating faster. And suddenly she pushes him with all the force she has. She can see Sid tumbling behind and See's him struggling to balance himself to stand still but falls into a deep valley. She could hear Sid calling out her name but Sana stood frozen. After a few moment she realises what she had done and starts calling out to him loudly, looking down the deep valley
Sana woke up with a start calling out Sid's name. She was covered in sweat. Her body was trembling. It was three in the morning. What has she seen?? How can she even think of this?? She looked around. Sid has still not come back. Where has he gone??. She wanted to cry. She wanted to call out to him. But nothing came out. Picked her mobile and thought of calling him, but then decided against it. Why should she?? She doesn't need anyone.
Sid was sitting inside the car in the parking lot. His back and head were aching. He felt he should go to the room, but then recalled Sana's reaction. He too was angry now. Enough is enough. He is trying to mend this, but he also knew this cannot be mended until he tells her the truth. Should he tell her about his father?? How will she take it?? He was scared. Sid didn't want any conflict between the father and the daughter. But he cannot help it now. He will have to tell Sana everything for his and hers sanity. He will. Once they reach Mumbai. She is going to be angry on this too. He was damned sure. Well will cross the bridge when we come to it, he thought. But for now he was hurt with Sana's words. He was trying to ignore, but her constant taunts were unbearable now. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Sid got up to the sound of a car horn. Looked at the time. It was six in the morning. He got out of the car. His whole body was aching. He entered the room to find Sana on the couch. with her head on her knees. She looked up and saw him. He went to the sofa near the window.
Sid: Ek gante me mandir ke leye nikalna hai. Ready ho jaa.
Saying that he lay on the sofa and closed his eyes. He heard her get up and opened the zip of the bag. When he opened his eyes and looked around, he saw Sana sitting on the couch, wearing a red saree. He felt he must be dreaming she was looking divine. The sindoor and Mangalsutra adding to her beauty. He did not move. He just wanted to look at her bewitching beauty for some more time. Their eyes locked and she then looked away. He must have slept for half an hour. He got up and went to the bathroom. He took a shower relaxing his tight muscles. Felt better now. Sid came out with a towel wrapped around his hips. He took out the black shervani, which Adi and Pari had send him yesterday evening from Udaipur. He wore it and looked very handsome.
Sid called Adi when he was ready. Adi and Pari were waiting for them in the lobby. They came to the lobby.
Adi: Kab se wait kar rahe the. Maa ne bola tha na ke jaldi jaana??
They should have left early to avoid attracting unwanted attention. They both were celeb and they had not announced their marriage officially yet.
Sid: Sorry yaar mai so gaya tha.
Adi: Kyu soya nhi kya raat me??
Sid gave him a stare and then looked at Sana. There eyes met and he looked away.
Sid: Chalta hai ab??
They drove to the temple. Sid was driving with Sana next to him. Pari and Adi were sitting behind. They were to visit the Shri Manshapurna Karni Mata Temple. It is located near dudh talai lake in Udaipur. It enshrine the idol of Karni Mata. One can see the whole city and lake from the temple and while climbing to it.
Adi took Pari"s hand and they started climbing the stairs. Sid and Sana were left behind. Sid looked at Sana with sad eyes. She started climbing and Sid followed her. Sana was having difficulty climbing in saree so she was moving up slowly. Sid realised that. He didn't know how to help her with this. But he dare not ask. Pari and Adi have reached the top. They went to watch the view. Sana suddenly stopped and covered her eyes. Sid thought she was about to faint. He rushed forward and pulled her to him holding her by her waist.
Sid: Kya hua tuje??
Sana: Kuch nhi chakkar aa gaya.
He looked at her and she had gone white. Sid then picked her in his arms. A current ran through Sana's body at the touch of his hand on her naked waist. Her hands automatically encircled his neck. She has been cold and numb all the time, then why did his touch affect her so much. She was trying so hard to come out of the shell. But was not able to. She was not moved even when her mummy and papa had hugged and cried after her wedding ceremony. But one touch of his and she felt she had melted away. They both were looking at each other as Sid moved up the remaining few steps to reach the temple. Adi and Pari saw this with their eyes popped out.
Sid made Sana sit on the bench near the stairs. He rushed in search of water for her. Pari went to Sana.
Pari: Kya hua Sana.
Sana couldn't speak. She felt she will burst any moment now. There was nobody in the premises as the gates open at eight in the morning. They had taken special permission from the authority. Sana got up and went inside the temple. She sat down on her knees and without her knowing tears started streaming from her eyes. It was as if a dam has burst open. As if an ice has broke from inside her chest and water was gushing out through her eyes. She was looking at the goddess in front of her. Sid came with bottle in his hand and saw her sitting there with tears flowing from her beautiful eyes. Adi and Pari were standing and watching her. Pari wanted to go and console Sana but Adi stopped her. Sid's eyes were only on his beautiful wife. He wanted to take her in his arms and kiss all her pain away. But he was scared she may push him away. His heart cried for her. As if sensing his thoughts she looked in his direction. They looked in each others eyes. Hers complaining and his pleading. He too found his eyes has gone wet. Panditji came and the spell was broken. Sid came towards her. Sana was wipping her tears off her face. She was not looking at him now.
Sid: Yeh Pani pe le.
Pari: Bhai Maa ne puja hone tak kuch khaane peene se mana kiya hai.
Sid: Pari usse chakkar aa gaya tha. Pe lene de.
Sana: Muje nhi chahiye.
The panditji called them and the puja was performed. Sana wanted to go somewhere alone and cry her heart out. She was very emotional during the puja . She could feel Sid's eyes who was sitting next to her on her. As they finished the puja they walked out of the temple. Adi and Pari said they want to sit there for a little while. Sid nodded. They both were clicking photos. Pari called Sana but she refused. She went to the bench nearby and sat there. Sid came to her.
Sid: Le pani pe.
Sana: Nahi chahiye.
Sid: Puja khatm ho gayi hai ab pe le.
Sana: Nahi chahiye
She was very angry on him. For leaving him alone in the hotel room last night. In fact she was angry on him for leaving her. Period. Her head was spinning. She just wanted to go cover her face and cry until there were no more tears. Adi and Pari came to them.
Sid: Pari hum breakfast karke fir resort chalte hai.
Adi: Bhai resort jaake karte hai na.
Sid wanted to fed something to Sana. They had not eaten anything last night. And reaching there would take almost an hour. Her face had gone white. She should eat something. Now. So Sid insisted in an angry tone.
Sid: Nahi breakfast karke he nikalte hai.
Sana: Ha har cheez teri marzi se he chalti hai na hamesha. Tu jaisa bologe vaisa he to karna hota hai.
Pari: Sana tu kyu aise react kar rahi hai. Bhai ne aisa kya galat bola.
Sana was angry beyond words. It was as if she needed an excuse to remove all the anger on him. She stood up.
Sana: Nahi yeh galat hai Pari. Yeh hamesha se galat hai.
She moved towards Siddharth and took him by his collar and started shaking him. Yelling at him and crying at the same time
Sana: Siddharth tu hamesha he galat hai. Nau saal pehle muje choda. Tu galat tha. Muje apne se fir se dur kiya. Tu galat tha.
Pari and Adi were about to move towards them, but Sid made them stop with his hand. He was looking in her eyes. There was pain, hurt, and lot of complains. She was still holding his collar and crying out loudly. Sid did not touch her. He had kept his hand to his sides.
Sana: Kal raat muje kamre me akela chod kar chala gaya yeh Pari. Muje akele bahot dar lag raha tha. Par yeh nhi aaya. Yeh subah tak nhi aaya. Mai isse nafrat karti hu Pari. Mai isse bahot nafrat karti hu.
She felt her head was spinning again. She rested her head on his chest. She could hear his heart beating faster. All the crying has exhausted her.
Sid did not move. He so wanted to take her in his arms and hug her tightly. He didn't realise she would be scared alone in that room. He should not have left last night. He wanted to say sorry. Tell her how much he loves her. But he was scared she might revolt. This was not the time. She was vulnerable now. He knew she will not understand anything at this time. In this situation. But he will make her understand. He will. Very soon. He promised himself. Pari came and took Sana by her shoulder. Sana turned and hugged her crying on her shoulder. Her tears were not ready to stop. She wanted to control them, but was not able to.
Pari: Chal chalte hai.
Pari took her face in her hand, wipped her tears, held her hand and they started climbing down the stairs leaving Adi and Sid behind.
Adi: Bhai tu usse jo fact hai vo bolta kyu nhi??
Sid: Adi tuje lagta hai vo kuch sunne ke condition me hai??
Adi: Tu kahe to mai aur Pari usse....
Sid: Nahi yeh mere aur uske beech ke baat hai. Mai usse bataunga. Aur apne tarike se bataunga.
