Chapter 54 - [2] Anniversaries

"It's Yi Nana now and you will regret this Sangyun, I promise you that I will make sure you regret ever laying your hands on me." I said to him with the bravest look that I can put on while on the inside, I'm dying of pain but I won't let him see that because he isn't worth any of my tears.

I know me telling him this was a mistake, although I plan on making him regret it, I shouldn't have said it to his face ..at least not when I'm alone, with no guards and no Jandi ..I'd wonder where Jandi had run off to immediately Sangyun grabbed me, but some part of me knows that she is off to go get help.

I was expecting more pains after I blurted out my threats to Sangyun but he surprised me when he let my hand go then before I could think, he grab me on the waist and pull me closer to him and begin saying with a very strange calm voice.

"I love you Nana." he said while looking me straight in the eyes as if wanting me to belief him. This is pathetic, He have gone bananas!.

"You're insane Sangyun and I'm not naive ok, just because I might be weak doesn't mean that I'm naive. And.. and don't tell me you love me to get me thinking of you and your evil family next evil move on my life. Is life a game to you? ..in case you didn't realize ..ever since I was little, all you and your mother do is cause me pain and more pain everyday _so tell me which man in love does that to his claimed beloved." I said as I try pulling away from his hold but he won't let go.

"Sometimes we do some hurtful things to our beloved one out of raged and frustration, some we do what we have to do to get there attention. I made you remember my name Nana ..then when you were just a child, you never noticed me even though I made sure that I was constantly in your presence, I was still a ghost to you so you can't blame me for doing this in order to get your attention and I do love you."

"You do not love me Sangyun and if you do love me then I don't care because I do not love you and I will never do, I love my husband.. I love your Emperor. Please let me go!" I pleaded but he refuses to listen, instead he grab hold of my hand but this time much tighter then he raise his left hand up and begin descending it toward my cheek with force which made me panicked and immediately close my eyes while trying to dodge my face from his descending hand.

Everything happened so fast but what didn't happen is the slap and I'm still surprise and unsure whether to open my eyes now or not, after a little while I decided not to in case he's waiting for me to do just that but just then I started feeling someone pulling Sangyun hand that's holding me off and then I opened my eyes to a new whole scene.

Min Yonghwan had grabbed Sangyun's hand before it reached my cheek then he pulled him off of me and he's now punching him.

"Empress Nana." Jandi called breathlessly then hug me after she begin checking my body for any bruises and there is ..on my wrist.

After I stopped Min Yonghwan from hitting Sangyun to his death, I took hold of Jandi's hand and begin heading to our previous destination but this time with my personal guard right behind us.

"You should go tell the Emperor what just happened lady Nana, Sangyun deserves to be punished for what he just did? Jandi said and from her tone, I know she's angry but I don't have time for that. I do want Sangyun punished but my mother's death anniversary is more important right now.. Besides, I don't want to speck with the Emperor because I'm actually angry with him. Today is also my mother anniversary but he refuses to acknowledge it.

"Are you sure you don't want to get this treated? Jandi asked referring to my bruised wrist.

"I don't have time for that right now Jandi."

"You need to cut him some slack Lady Nana, sometimes it hard to forget and forgive and he still have a reputation to maintain." Nana said trying to get me to change my mind but I won't and I really don't have time for that.

"Anyways, I'm happy that this bruise is on your wrist and there's no way the Emperor won't see it ...hmm, I wonder what he will do to Sangyun."
