Chapter 77 - Empty

I take in another deep breath, almost would have fallen if mother hadn't steady me.

"You can still go ..please go and warn him Hwa, there's time." I pleaded hoping to convince her but she just laughs at me pathetically.

"You love him but you wish him dead ..you do realized they're going to kill him right?. He isn't prepared for war ..Hwa. You love him ..you even warned me to stay away from him, you can't just let him die." I pleased at the same time trying to manipulate her love for my husband into her alerting him about the war that's going to happen soon ..but the look she's giving me is that of anger, of hatred and death.

"I love him and i told him but he rejected me. He told me to my face that he doesn't love me." She said in whispers while crying.

"He do love you Hwa, he do love you but as a sister." I said to her in a low convincing tone. Wuji do love her as a sister so I didn't lie.

"And I hate him for that, I hate him for loving you! I hate him for telling me to my face that you're the one he love."

"Hate him all you want but please don't let him die." I pleaded not knowing what else to say to her.

"I rather have him dead than him live only to love you." She said and I really want to smack some sense into her but ..god! This girl is sold, her brain is sold and some type of devil bought it. What will I do? ..how can I help my husband, god.

"What will you gain from this ..you should be angry at your mother! She pushed you to go seduce the Emperor who's your brother when knowing fully well the consequence of it ..if the Emperor had slept with you. You'd be dead by now ..you know that right? ...if that had happened, you would have been beheaded." I said while praying that this should change her mind but the look in her eyes ..although desperate like mine, it has something else in them. She look reckless, she look empty.

"I love him ok.. I love him and if mother didn't even tell me to do it, I would've still done and I don't care about the consequences. I don't care one bit and I don't care about my mother but I won't stop her because she's going to make your life a living hall. She's going to take your child as hers, right after you give birth ..you'll die Nana. She will kill you!." Hwa said while laughing sadistically and that's when I knew that I was talking to an empty shell ..a completely empty one. Her mother did this to her, god!

"I'm sorry honey, she told me you weren't happy and that I can get you to come stay with us here ..have your baby and be happy with me, us. I'm sorry ..I'm so sorry that I believed her and I brought you out of your comfort zone." Mother said as she gathered me in her hands.

I heard Hwa snort then right after that she walked out.
