Chapter 98 - The Emperor's men

Strolling around Queq island peach trees has become a daily routine ever since I rejected Tae Min proposal and it's been two months and some weeks now.

Tae-Min hadn't taken it well then but after a few weeks, he came around and we've been friends.

Eun-Ae is still angry at me though, she said I broke her father's heart and also that she wishes for me to become her mother. Even though I told her that I will always love her, she still refused to speak to me and to her, we're officially enemies.

That day I also confessed to Tae-Min my real identity and he felt more broken than when I first turned down his proposal, I guess then he thought he still had a chance but learning that I'm a married woman ..I broke him and it really saddens me.

After his recovery, he told me not to tell his brother about my true identity because he doesn't think he will take it well.

Tae-Min is a good man and I just wish things aren't as complicated as it is now ..but then again, do I really love him enough to want to spend my whole life with him?.

As I walk around the trees looking for a ripe peach, I sight Eun-Ae and decided to apologize to her once again for disappointing her.

I walked closer but then ran back and hide at the back of a peach tree when I saw Yabo, Min Yonghwan and some of my husband other guard questioning Eun-Ae.

"Do you happen to have seen a pregnant woman and a female maid?." I heard Min Yonghwan asked and Eun-ae replied him by saying no before she started yelling.

"You can't go inside, my father said if he and uncle Tae-oh aren't around that I shouldn't let anyone in and that if anyone tries to force themselves in that I should scream. I'm going to scream!" She warned and then suddenly she began to scream. I walked out from my hideout to find out what's happening.

I saw Yabo holding and covering Eun Ae mouth so she won't scream or run off but what has me running is the sight of the other guards who are now searching the environment.

I didn't know where to go, I just kept running backwards and while running ..I bump into someone and to my relief, it's Tae-Min.

"They have Eun-Ae, quickly go and get her." I said but he just grabbed my hand and begin to lead me out.

"What are you doing? ..Tae-Min you need to go and get your daughter before she dies of fright." I whispered not wanting the wandering men to hear me, but Tae-Min kept leading me out and later on explain to me that he needs to get me to safety first and that the palace guards won't harm Eun-Ae.

After Tae-Min left me inside his secret study room, he went off to go get his daughter. I waited and waited for a long while but no one came to knock on my door, I begin to panic when thinking that something bad has happened to them.

I thought the worst, in my head I saw Tae-Min fighting Yabo because he refused to let his daughter go and then he got killed by Min Yonghwan from behind.

When my door finally opened to review Tae-Min, I fling myself at him and he caught before he steadily put me down. I looked beside him and found only Jandi.

"Where's Eun-Ae?
