Chapter 55 - [3] Anniversaries

I want him here with me on this day, I really thought he was going to change his mind but.. But..

Since mother wasn't buried because her body was never found due to they said it burnt to ashes with other different bodies, I decided to always pay her tributes on my Island home because it's my favorite place.

Jandi spread a mat on the floor outside then she sits down on her side after, i too do the same then I turn to my side and begin pouring my heart out.

I think one good thing about anniversaries and tribute is that you get to tell that person what you've learned, have a conversation and you get to imagine that they are listening to you.

"Mother, father is a traitor ..he is a real traitor an.. and he cheated on you. I learned this through Min Jun _yes, he found me and he's now a free man ..mother. I found a man and he is my..; I continued to pour out my heart but pursed when I felt Jandi hands leave mine and immediately after that, I feel a firm man's hand take my in his as he sits too near me ..immediately I opened my eyes just to find out if my mind is deceiving me but it isn't, it's indeed my husband. I couldn't stop smiling as I hugged him tightly.

"What you just said earlier.." He begin to ask but I interrupted him by nodding my head and at the same time saying a yes ..that I learned this through my brother but I left the Kyung-sook part _I have a feeling that now isn't the right time to let him know of his god mother's crimes.

"Thank you for coming, this means a lot to me." I said as I place my head on his shoulder.

"I just want you happy Nana, anything that makes you happy ..I want to do that." He replied and just like that I feel like the luckiest girl alive, after a while ..I said all the things I want mother to know which includes my life, my brothers, father, Jandi and my darling husband then we fall asleep on the open and on the mat.

I woke up to my darling husband kisses, also while he's still whispering to my ears that I should wake up.

"Wake up sleepy head." He whisper to my ears when I shook my head no and that he should leave me alone.

"Why are you waking me up so early? I asked making sure to sound so annoyed which I really am.

"Hmm.., angry Nana is really sexy." He said then begin tickling me but when I still refused to give in he stopped and said "Ok.., this is not early wife and I want to be at the palace for a meeting I had Baek Sunghyun put together so ..up."

"Ughhh!! But.. I still don't understand why you're waking me up this early.".

"Because I want you there with me ..we're partners now Empress." He said smiling at his last word then kiss me on the lips and begin carrying me up but I flicked my arm backwards at the same time hiss in pain as his hands did touched my injured wrist.

"Nana.." He called wary, why trying to inspect my hands but I didn't let him, I quickly hid it behind my back not knowing why I just did that.

"Let me see Nana." He asked with the calmest tone that I've ever heard from him before.

"Who did this to you? He asked when I finally let him see.

"I didn't go looking for trouble this time, I swear I was just walking when.." I begin to explain but that seems not good enough as he yelled so loudly..

"Dammit Nana just tell me their names already." He yelled so loudly that I just blurted out Sangyun's name, immediately he stood up and walked out in a hurry with the scariest look ever on his face.

Immediately he left, Jandi came running as she asked "What happened?, he looked so furious." And I told her.

"I think he's going to have his head." Jandi said with a very happy smile on her face which made me to hit her although not hardly.

"Come on Lady Nana, let's go ..I don't want to miss the looks that's going to be on their faces." Jandi said then begin taking me outside but I stopped halfway when I couldn't find my personal guard Min Yong-hwan anywhere, instead it Yabo who's present. I walked up to Yabo and asked him where Min Yong-hwan is and he just told me that he left with the Emperor .."but why?" I asked confused and at the same time concerned.

"Oh well Empress, the Emperor is also going to punish him for not reporting yesterday's event to him and for not being around when Sangyun was hurting you." Jandi said as she tries to get me to keep walking but I refused.

"It's not his fault, we need to get to the palace on time before this happens." I said to Jandi who immediately after, took my hand again as we walked to the wagon.
