Chapter 83 - Thankful

Halfway home, I grab Min Jun hand all of a sudden ..which made him look up at me worriedly. "Hwa" I breathe out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "Is she dead?

He looked confused for a few seconds as if he doesn't know the name before he shakes his head no. "We only killed those who attacked us and who seems like a threat, we didn't hurt the prisoners and also I didn't see Hwa. Am not sure though ..I mean she might have escaped when she saw us, you know all that was in my mind was to get to you so I wasn't paying much attention to anything else."

"So you didn't release the prisoners? I asked while looking at him angrily.

"There wasn't time for that but we'd plan on returning back with some men after we've safely bring you back to the palace. We'll set them free Nana ..OK?" He said while touching my side cheeks and I nodded my head yes that I understand then I turned towards mother.

"Bae is save mother, they'll get her out of the prison after they drop us off." I said to mother who sign in relief then hug me from behind. I know mother has a lot of things on her mind but she won't tell me and I don't blame her. I understand that she might be scared of my husband, she might be scared that he'll kill her for she's still known as an outcast.

"Wait!" Raizo said as he pulled the horse hair backwards, making it to stop moving.

Min Jun walked up to him, his feature that of confusion and alertness. "What's it?

"Stay with them here and I will go over and check if the war is still going on. Draw you sword out Min Jun and do not move from this spot until I come back." He said aloofly and only left when Min Jun had drew out his sword and nodded his head in agreement.

I have never been so scared in my life. If the war is still happening, this means that my husband is still in danger.

"Nana." Mother called while pulling my hands apart from each other. "Stop it." She said worriedly when I continued to do it. She then pull my head to her and release my now bleeding lips from my teeth.

"Don't make any conclusions yet." She said still holding my hands and I begin to feel another hand that's not mother's on mine, I look up and smile as Min Jun is smiling.

"Am so proud of you two, am so happy. Thank you for staying alive and for giving me this moment." Mother said and then she began to cry while looking at the two of us elatedly. Min Jun place his head on mother's leg and told her he's happy that he's alive to see this day too.

"I thought you two are dead. Thanks for staying alive mother and you too Nana." He said, his own eyes filled with happy tears
