Chapter 62 - A tad too happy

"I want to see the Empress." I heard Jandi say to Bae.

"Who are you" Bae asked Jandi and after a few seconds when Jandi still didn't reply, Bae tell her she can't come in without no snacks or food as Jandi is just a common maid in the palace.

This has me laughing for I can already picture Jandi's reaction in my mind which will be as angry as a furious dog. She hates when you call her a common person and this always confuses me ..for I have told her she's no longer a maid and that since she's no longer a maid, she should stop dressing like one but she still dress like one and sleeps in the servant's quarters. The thing with Jandi is ..she doesn't like favours, she likes to earn her own things but what she doesn't know is that she has already earned my offer and lot more.

I smile as I walk to my door and then tell my newest assigned personal guard Bae by surname ..that which she preferred to be called, to let a very obviously annoyed Jandi in.

"It's fine Bae, Jandi is my friend and she can come in anytime she wants to except when the Emperor is in." I said to Bae who looked a little hesitant and confused but later on snapped out of it and said "Alright Empress."

"I don't like her." Jandi said after she sat me down, then she starts to arrange my hair for today's occasion as if my new maid hadn't just done that.

"I know but she's really good ..not that I've seen her fight bu.. but, what I mean is that she's a girl and you know how it's hard for a female to get this position, ..she kind of begged me with that reason for her to be my personal guard and I agreed ..besides, my troop leader said she's good. My husband doesn't know about this arrangement yet but I'll convince him when he returns.

"She ruined my happy mood. I was jumping when on my way here." Jandi says while smiling and I know the Emperor has told Yabo to do it like he promised. "I know I rejected your offers before but ..Sangyun quarters, oh my god.. thank you, thank you!." Jandi says now smiling widely "In your face Sangyun! In your face!" She keeps yelling a little loudly while turning around excitedly and at the same time pulling me along with her due to the chair has wheels.

"You're no longer a maid Jandi ..you're your own person. You're still staying with me though, because I need you. You do want to stay ..right?" I asked, I know she will stay ..it's not like she can pull her house to her hometown. I just want her happy, I want her to be happy here with me.

"Of course I want to stay, I now have my own personal quarters and Kyung-sook is going to get kicked in the butt by you. I'm really happy Lady Nana and you can do this ..you're no more feeling dizzy ..right?" Jandi asked, she then place her hand on my forehead, face and was going to place it on my neck next but I slap it off while smiling.

"I am fine Jandi and I can do this ..I can do it." I said to her once again when she begins to look me in the eyes as if to know my level of strength ..when she's certified by whatever determination she found in my eyes she opened the door for me and whisper to my ears "fighting!." then turned and started walking towards her new quarters direction.
