Chapter 86 - He broke my heart

"He doesn't love you, I mean come on he still bears that ridiculous nickname his late wife gave him and you even call him by that too. Well.. we all do and he loves it. I won't even be surprised if he has totally forgotten his real name. He loved her, he still loves her ..please Jandi let him go, you deserve so much better than him." I said while still holding her hands. I know how hard this is for her so am not going to let go.

"I don't understand ..she's dead Nana, she's dead, she has been dead for over six years now and he still loves her. I love him, i really do love him ..I've waited you know. I waited for a very long time and the thought of him not loving me did cross my mind but I thought he just needed more time to heal. I was wrong, I shouldn't have told him about my feelings for him today or at all but how would I know that he doesn't feel anything ..not even a little." She stopped for a little while for air since she having difficulties breathing through her now stuffed up nose before she continues.

"You should have seen his face lady Nana, you should have seen it." She sniffed while looking at me. "He looked so repulsed by just the idea of us together. It hurts. He hurt me so much, much more than when he had hit me. I love him. I love him. Lady Nana I love ..this hurt so much." She hugged me while crying more profusely than when she came running into my chamber and to be honest I was really surprised, I hadn't expert her to come back or talk to me for like a week and I do understand how she feels ..not that I've ever been in her position but I think I understand her pain and if someone else was there when she was telling me that she loves Yabo not Min Yonghwa, that person will understand too.

One thing I like about Jandi is that she's a strong woman ..her having that courage to tell Yabo that she likes him after what he did to her ..although he was just following my husband order, she's brave and am really happy that she let it all out than keeping it inside and letting the feeling cook up some more stupid fantasy.

I will like to say that I understand Yabo reasons for, am not so sure though but I think this has to do with his late wife's brutal death ..who would want to go through that again, the poor man.

My poor Jandi.

"Do you want some orange juice? I asked and she shakes her head no. I think the reason is because she doesn't want me to see her puffy eyes and running nose.

"I can call Si-won to tell Hyori from here to get it for you" I suggested in case her reason for refusing her favorite drink is because she doesn't want any person to see her tears stained cheeks, but she still shakes her head no.

Am a little happy that this happened, although it may sound selfish but am really happy that this happened today because it brought my best friend back to me and also because it's for the best. I have always known Yabo won't retaliate her love, his aura had always said it long before he opened his mouth and one would think smart Jandi would know but like they said, when a person is in love, they tend to be blinded by it.

My poor Jandi is not excluded.

She'll be fine.

I hear Jandi sniff again and again then stopped for like four seconds before she sniffed again, after her last sniff she started getting up with her hand on her face as if covering them from sunshine but I know she's just embarrassed that I witnessed her first breakdown which she isn't supposed to be because I won't tell anybody.

Now sitting properly, she wipe at her eyes one more time ..this action removed the last teardrop on her face. "You really scared me when you left, I was scared." She said softly then sign in exhausted and what seems like a little guilt then turns to face me.

"When he was hitting me I.. I was blaming you. You forced his hands, he had to do it and it's all because of you ..I had told myself this. I love him and you coming back all in one shape, the Emperor still in love with you and he'd.. He'd' She sign in defeat. "You have to understand that I was still angry at you when he asked me about you and I lied. Am sorry." She whispered her last words and I pull her to me in an emotional embrace as I tell her that I understand and am sorry too.

"Kyung-shook is dead, she was beheaded yesterday for being found guilty of the death of the 34 souls she set ablaze in Shilli and also for being a traitor." Jandi said. Before she even finished her last sentence, I've already began to look at her in shock but before I could ask her anything she already continued while looking at me giddily.
