Chapter 84 - Distance

Not too long Raizo came back and we continued our journey into the palace. When I saw Raizo standing behind one of the orange trees ..words couldn't describe how happy I was and still am. I knew his presence there meant one thing ..the war is over. We won and this also means that my husband is alive.

"Thank you." I said to Min Jun as he helped me to my feet, I gather my clothing together in my hands and begin to walk hurriedly inside the palace but then I notice that mother isn't following me so I stopped and run back to her, took her hands in mine ..I begin to lead her inside the main entrance.

"Nana." Mother called as we got closer to my husband chamber but I didn't answer her because all I want right now is to see my husband, she then tap me on the shoulder two times which made me stop and look at her inquiring but she didn't say anything, instead she started pointing at something that's behind me.

I turn my head to the direction her fingers are pointing at and to my surprise ..it's my husband.

I yep happily and at the same time unknowingly remove mother's hands from mine ..I ran to him and am sure I took a little breath out of him when I throw myself at him. He caught me though and then I wrap my hands around him. I hug him like I missed him which I really do.

I feel him looking intensely at my hair or shoulder ..am not sure where but I know he's looking at some part of my body, I raise my head to him. "I was so worried, I thought they.. I thought something bad would happen to you, I was so worried. You don't know how happy I am right now ..did they, hmm ..did they hurt you?" I asked at the same time checking for myself. I check his face, shoulder, hands for any injury and I did find one ..it's on his left hand, a slightly deep sword injury that pieced into his arm in the form of a straight line. I lift the hand to my lips and kiss the sides of the injury making sure not to hurt him in the process.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." I whisper in between the kisses as I sensed something off. I watched Wuji, trying

to read his face. I could see the tension in his jaw by the small tic he got when he wasn't happy about something, I couldn't help the frown on my face at the thought of being responsible for his sour mood.

"Wuji." I called alerted when he suddenly remove his hands from mine then move away from me ..leaving up to ten inches space. I begin to walk closer to him, my face that of one seeking answers but he stopped me, he stopped me with words which he spoke flatly "Nana, please quietly let Siwon escort you to your chamber and let Hyuna run some tests on you." And with those words, he left. I turned to mother but found Yabo leading her out ..toward where the Emperor is heading to.

I tried to follow them but the said Siwon refused to let me through, he blocked my way and when I tried telling him to please let me go ..he refused. The worst part is, he isn't even looking at me ..he's doing it as if he isn't seeing me, as if am not in his presence whereas whenever I try walking the other way that isn't going to lead me to my chamber, he blocks me.

"I know Wuji is angry but please god, let him not hurt or punish my mother." I muse as I walk to my chamber. I let my mean new guard open my door for me then I sadly enter inside with my head slightly down in defeat and exhaustion.
