I just realised some of the ages might be confusing you ya'll since I've just always had this in my head but these are the correct ages of each characters:

Ben & Danny & Alisha: 26 (Danny older than both and Ben was born at the end of December so he's considered one of the youngest with Robin)

Robin: 23

Derek: 27

San, Nicky, & Sophie: 5 (San -> Nicky -> Sophie)

Clara: 34

Ben's POV

The day after my talk with Robin, I was once again at the front of Danny's house. Despite going there for a week straight, I couldn't help but still feel nervous each time. I knocked on the door, and it opened to Danny's blank face. My smile brightened as I was about to hug him, only for him to move aside, making me stumble my way inside as usual.

I quickly adjusted myself and smiled at him, "Morning."

He turned around and nodded, walking away to the kitchen to continue cooking. I looked at the large pancake batter and my mood instantly brightened. Even if he ignores me he still makes me food.

"Beeennn" a silent scream echoed from above me. I turned around to see Sophie jumping down the stairs right into me and instantly opened my arms in shock. Luckily, I grabbed her perfectly just as she was about to hit the ground and pulled her up to my sight.

"Soph, that's super dangerous!" I yelled. She gave me puppy eyes, "Sorry...I got too excited." Dammit, this child knows how to win me over.

I tried so hard to hate her. I know I should hate her. But she reminded me so much of Danny when he was little, from her confident stride, her cute expressions, the little gestures they both make, and how mature they acted for their age. Most of the time. However, this was not one of them.

I noticed her dressed up in outdoor attire and placed her down. "Where are you going?" She smiled at me excitedly, "On a date!"

I froze. "Wait what? With who? Where are you going?"

"She's just going on a play date." I heard a chuckled coming from up the stairs. My face hardened. I looked up to see Clara also dressed and ready to go. "...Is it a boy?"

She blinked for a moment, "You're talking to me?" I glared at her but she continued to chuckled, "Well isn't this a nice morning. Also, yes, it's a boy from her class." I gaped, "Soph, dear, you're too young to date, alright? Don't let that scum fool you, he just wants to play with your heart and throw you away after he gets bored with y-"

Robin slapped the back of my head, an annoyed expression on his face. "What the hell are you saying to a five-year-old?" He seemed more irked today than usual. "Are you really allowing this? Your daughter is going to meet a boy!"

He turned around and stiffly walked back to the kitchen. "That idiot is the reason they're going on a play date. He found out that a boy liked Sophie and went to confront him at his house but chickened out when he found out the boy's parents were bodybuilders and ended up proposing a playdate."

"Ah! Clara, shut up!" Robin stammered, his cheeks flushed red. So cute.

"A-anyway, I can't face them after what I did last night so I'm counting on you to watch over them, alright? Don't let that...boy get too close to Sophie."

"Well, anyway, we're gonna go first and eat breakfast with them." she looked at me and smirked, "You guys have fun." I looked at her incredulously, does this woman not know that I'm trying to seduce her husband? I mean, I think I'm being pretty obvious right now.
