So yes. It's been like 7 months?
As I've said before I have little passion in writing these days. Mostly due to my frustration in my changing writing style and my control freak nature where I absolutely will not publish a writing I'm not entirely satisfied with. This time I thought I've taken way too long so I decided to sit and write this chapter until it's done. I'll try updating another 2 or 3 tomorrow or next week!!

Danny's POV

"Clara, please!"

"This'll be quick." she smirked, holding the large tin up. Her hands swung up to my face and I close my eyes on impact, having no way to escape with both my hand locked by the two guys I had thought of my close friends.

Upon seconds I felt the cold and wet pie's cream hit my face. I sighed, Will and Ron laughing their face off as they eased their hold on my wrist. I watched Sophie giggling in Clara's arms as her tiny hands pointed at me. "Daddy looks like a clown!" she giggled. Clara laughed with an arm on her stomach, "He sure does."

"Very funny" I grumbled. Clara giggled as she ate some cream from my face, "Taste pretty good" she gave some to Sophie who squealed at the taste. I chuckled, admiring my cute daughter. "I thought this was supposed to be your 5th birthday party." I pouted a little.

"So you're implying we should stuff your daughter's face with pie too?" Will gasped dramatically. Ron snarled, "And father of the year goes to..." I rolled my eyes.

"I think the real 5 year olds should also get some pies." I smirked, picking up two mini pies and slamming them onto their faces. They grimaced as Sophie and Clara continues to laugh.

"Alright alright. I think it's about time somebody head off to bed." Clara giggled, picking up the yawning child beside her. Ron and Will took that as a cue to stand up and pick up their things from the ground.

"Guess we'll be heading home. Helen's probably a bit cranky since we left her alone with her big brother to visit you guys."

"We'll make time to visit her tomorrow. Sophie probably misses her best friend too." I nodded. Clara and I sent the two spouses on their way and watched them fade into the night.

As soon as they were gone, we eyed each other and smirked, "Alright Sophie! They're gone!" I whispered. Sophie's head that was previously dangling limply on Clara's back lifted energetically, revealing sparkly eyes filled with excitement. "Alright! Finally!"

In a swift movement, she released herself from Clara's grip and ran to the backyard which was connected to the woods. The two of us running excitedly behind her.

"Let's go dad!! We're finally going on our first run together!" she squealed. I chuckled, "Calm down Soph, we've got all night."

"I'll finally get to see Sophie's wolf form!" Clara squealed, watching us from the deck. I had to admit, I was kind of curious as well.

We both watched as Sophie turned into her wolf form for the first time, her hair turning into a more grayish shade of fur and her limbs forming four tiny cute paws. Her eyes were the same as mine, kind of yellowish blue. She was so cute!

Her wolf-self squealed and jumped in a circle with excitement. I soon transformed into my own wolf and approached her calmly, nuzzling my nose onto her's lovingly.

I began to howl at the sight of the moon, urging her to join me before starting to run at a slow pace. Siren watched Sophie from behind, making sure she was following us closely, although most of the time he was just talking about how fluffy her paws were and how she was basically squishing the ground with her toes. But I'm not jealous.

"D-daad, I'm tiredd" she whined after a couple of hours. I immediately stopped my run and Sophie's tiny body practically squished as it hit my hind legs. I resisted the urge to fawn. "Wanna head back?"

She nodded her head in between pants and rubbed her head on my fluffy chest in a whine, "Carry me please~"

Seriously, who does she take after.

Due to my constant need to please my spoiled only child, I complied and carried her back home on my mouth. As I spotted our backyard. I noticed Clara sitting on the bench fighting the urge to sleep. I chuckled to myself, looking down at my daughter and Clara. How the hell did I get so lucky?

I crept quietly beside her and dropped Sophie on the bench, nuzzling Clara's legs to wake her up. She soon woke from her dazed state and smiled, "Had a nice run?"

I nodded, transforming back to human form. "Best I've had in over 6 years." She smiled bitterly, "Glad to hear it."

I picked Sophie up and placed her on my lap, replacing her place beside Clara on the bench. I leaned my head on her shoulder as we enjoyed the night sky. "Do you wanna head to sleep?" I asked quietly.

"No, it's only like, 2 a.m. why would I be tired" she snickered. I chuckled. Before I had Sophie, Clara was the only one who could make me laugh.

We continued talking about random subjects for another hour, Clara yawning every couple of minutes continuously. "Alright, it's bed time missy" I stood up first, knowing she wasn't going to stop our late night conversation any time soon.

"Well if you inside" she yawned again. As I chuckled, I noticed a shadow in front of the woods, one all too familiar.

My heart dropped. The feelings I've tried for 8 years to forget rushing back out in a matter of instance. Tears formed in my eyes as I fought not to cry. My mouth quivered as I held onto Sophie tightly, scared my grip may loosen from the shock.

As the silhouette approached closer, I found myself pacing forward despite my reluctance. Siren was about ready to drop everything and run up to him had I not resisted.

Clara's hand pressed on my shoulder, "Hey, you alright?" My feet stopped in place, now stiff as a rock. Yet my gaze continued to be glued to the shadow, getting larger and larger.

His eyes were the same affectionate gaze as I remembered, below them were newly formed wrinkles that showed the change of time. He was slightly larger than I remembered, and his unique style of walking that always made him look like a soldier remained the same.

As soon as his face was visible, I saw the sudden drop of his jaw, the pursing of his lips, and the devastation in his eyes. Many thoughts went through my head.

Did he forget what I looked like? Was he disappointed with what he saw? Had I aged more than I should've?

But still, he approached us in a steady pace, a melancholic smile on his face.

"Hey, Danny" Ben whispered.
