One day in the afternoon, a normal day like any other, I left my house to go buy something, I was running out of food and it was time to drop some money, so I got ready to go to the shopping centre. I took the car. It was a rainy day and it was cold so I tried to hurry to get there as soon as possible.
As soon as I arrived and got out of the car, a driver, very clever he (or she), soaked me whole thanks to a puddle through which he or she passed with "great care" and I stayed still in the place without knowing how to react, my coat and my pants were stained with water and mud. Great... Then I went straight to the shop.
I entered dead cold and, luckily for me, everything was full of people, there was no way to go at least a little unnoticed, but it didn't matter. I decided to keep walking without paying attention to all those people, although a somewhat arduous task, because I saw how everyone had their eye on me and they followed me with their eyes as I passed by, what a shame! I saw a coffee and pastry stand in the background and I decided that the purchase could wait a bit.
Once I took my bun and my chocolate I got ready to sit at the only table that was available and I started to eat. I picked up my phone, looked at WhatsApp and started reading on Wattpad, when, suddenly, I could see a somewhat small man wandering lost among the masses of people. He seemed to have no idea where he was and was looking around in a hurry. The strangest thing of all is that he was dressed in somewhat medieval clothes... I was so shocked that I didn't notice that he was looking at me too, and I looked away quickly, which didn't help as it seemed that I caught his attention. He came after me.
I kept stirring my chocolate, a little embarrassed, I had thought he was quite a handsome guy, but it was looking away that he appeared in front of me.
"Excuse me, miss, but, can you tell me by Durin where I am?" he said, being able to contemplate a pair of huge and very beautiful blue eyes.
"Uhmm... In a shopping centre." I said confused by his appearance.
"Do you buy things here?" he asked looking around in considerable confusion. "What's that? Are there people inside? There's music coming out of there.
"That's a loudspeaker, and there's nobody in there." I said laughing, a little embarrassed. The little guy introduced himself.
"My name is Fili, at your service. You haven't seen a dwarf like me around here, have you?"
"It's the first time I've met someone like you." I answered.
And it was at that moment that someone was heard screaming.
"Hey Fili! I've finally found you! I must tell you something very important..." Said another guy of the same height but quite different in appearance. He stood beside Fili without considering me.
"I've seen some very fine and large square boxes where they have people trapped! Poor people, what will it feel like to live like this... I don't think it's any good staying here, let's not be next!"
"Kili, take it easy. Tell me, where have you seen them?" Fili asked.
And the brown-haired dwarf pointed to a TV shop. They ran over there and Fili took my hand to go with them.
"It's true! What kind of witchcraft is that?" asked the blond dwarf, but I couldn't help laughing.
"They're not trapped, it's a television, they're not really there." I explained. They both stared at me with a face full of incomprehensibility.
"But look at them! They're moving and everything!" Kili exclaimed.
"It's a recording, nothing more." I said. And they looked at me again in disbelief.
"A what?" Asked Fili. I rolled my eyes a little.
"It's hard to explain... Listen, I have to go and buy some things... I'll be back with you later."That's when they both grabbed my arm, one on each side.
"No! No! No! Oh don't leave us alone with those people-catching things! Help us find our uncle, please..."said Kili almost begging me.
I took a deep breath.
"I have to buy some things... Come with me if you are afraid. Then let's go and find your uncle." I said, and both dwarves immediately nodded quickly.
