{7} I am not your boyfriend

(Ace's POV)

"I have no clue what I should do, she thinks I'm a jerk or something!" I tell a couple of my teammates as we made our way to lunch

"You'd really want to hang out with HER, your reputation would go down the drain!" one of my teammates say

"That doesn't matter. She's really cute, super smart, and really funny, and they way she acts when I call her-." I pause not wanting them to know the nickname I have for her.

"Man? That girl? Freak! She probably put some voodoo on you cause you've never been this down bad about a girl, let alone a nerd!" my friend says

I push him and accidently to the ground "don't ever! And I mean ever call her a freak again. Just cause her GPA is probably higher then your vertical shouldn't mean you should be mean to her!" I say in response

I get to lunch when I see a crowd of people surrounding something, my first thought is that there's a fight

"STAY AWAY FROM ACE! IF I SEE YOU NEAR MY BOYFRIEND YOU WILL BE SORRY." I hear a yell, I'm obviously confused as I don't recall getting a girlfriend.

I push through the crowds of people and see Lillian balled up in a corner crying Infront of her is Lexi, dear god what the hell is she doing to Lilly. I run up stepping in front of Lilly "Don't yell at her, and I am not your boyfriend."

She looks at me confused "What do you mean 'don't yell at her' she's a freak, you're really gonna take that losers side over mine, and I am your girlfriend! Remember when we kissed?" Lexi is a devil, she's obsessed with me and even worst she hurt Lilly

I roll my eyes "My god, Lexi." I say slowly emphasising each word "We were playing spin the bottle in 7th grade, it doesn't count!" I turn around and grab Lillian "come on let's go." We walk out and Lexi storms out

once we get to the football field she runs out of my reach and sits on a bench, I sit next to her "why did you run away like that?"

"because, if I never worn your stupid sweatshirt I wouldn't have made a scene and now Lexi's gonna get back at me somehow, you know when I was saying they throw books at me, yeah that's the easy part. she's probably gonna get the whole cheer team and football team involved too!" she says tears streaming down her angelic face, her brown eyes filled with sadness, I hate seeing her upset.

I sigh, not knowing what I could do "if she does get the football team, you can count on at least one player not helping her out, kay?" I say in hopes of making her feel better

"No, did you not understand, this is your fault, I never even should've let you drive me home! Thought my life was bad before, well it's gonna get a lot worst so please do yourself and me a favor and just stay out of it" she says angrily

I look down, I really don't want to leave her side, but if it would make her happy.

I went back to lunch leaving her outside which just made me feel terrible, but if that's what she wanted I'd do it, I'd do anything for her

I get back to lunch and sit with my teammates

"Bro, you really did that for the nerd?" my friend chris says in disbelief

"Man, what did I say about calling her a nerd?" I say getting mad

"Chill, chill, and techniquilly you said freak." my other friend says

I just shoot death stares at both of them

I didn't talk much the rest of the day mostly cause I was way to upset about what had happened i guess she actually doesn't like me

I go to practice and I am greeted by Coach Anderson calling me to his office

"Hey,

I stand up then I felt a grab on my arm

"wait" she says softly

I turn around and she sighs "I'm really sorry, I just don't want to be a burden to you, I shouldn't have gone off like that." she wraps her arms around me and hugs me tightly

I hug her back just as tightly if not tighter "no, no, no, Lilly, you'd never be a burden to me, its ok, I'll stand with you the whole time."

she smiles a little and mumbles into my chest "its Lillian" she gives me a little squeeze before pulling away "I'm sorry for being so rude, and thanks for everything you've done for me." she looks up at me

I smile back at her "It's really nothing Lilly, I just want to make it up to you, when I was mean." I say with a warm smile

"well... maybe, we can go on a date, as a uh.. thank you." she says softly looking In my eyes clearly nervous which is kinda adorable

"Thanks Lilly, you won't regret it!" I say excitedly since I've really been wanting to go on a date with her

(Lillian's POV)

I can't believe I just said that I'd go on a date with Ace, the Ace Aaron! But it's just as a thank you, not like we're dating or anything

When I told jenny I'm gonna hand out with Ace she literally screamed, she forced me to go home without staying at the library and waiting for my brother because 'apparently' you need like 4 hours to get ready

we get to my room and she goes through my closet

"no, no, no, no, definitely not, eww, nope, nah, not that, no." she throws the pile of clothes she hates on the floor

"You're gonna clean that up jenny." I laugh a little and Jenny continues to look for the perfect outfit or whatever she called it

"hmm, this should work." she turns around with a red cami top, which she bought me a year ago and I've never worn and a jean skirt which she also bought me like a year ago to which I've never worn either

"ugh! why is that? It's gonna be so uncomfortable!" I pout and she just rolls her eyes at me and hands me the clothes

"Go take a shower and put these on, you're gonna look so cute!" she says in her squealing girly voice.

I go take a shower then put the clothes on, I'm not gonna lie, it is really cute but.. well, I'm not really sure.

"yay! you look so pretty, now hair." she sits me down and curls it just slightly to define them a bit more. she leaves my hair down and reaches into her bag, then grabs out.. A MAKEUP BAG!

"no, no, no, NO MAKEUP!" did I not mention I hate wearing makeup? well, I do. I scoot back on my bed as jenny comes forward

"relax, it will only be a bit!" she grabs me and says "now if you move I might stab your eye with the eyeliner and then you wont read." she says as she takes out some eyeliner

She does eyeliner, contour, mascara, eyeshadow and lipgloss! I for one do not think it's a little, but I have to admit it didn't make me look uglier so, I guess it works. she looks up and down then says "you look perfect."

"r-really?" I go in the mirror, and I do look really pretty
