{19} Let you down

(Lillian's POV)

"Lillian lets go to the party!" Jenny says while we're at her house hanging out

"No! I do not do parties." I tell her sternly

"We would have so much fun though!" she says smiling

"We can have way more fun just sitting in your room " I explain

She takes out her phone and says, "You leave me no choice." she calls someone "yeah, come to my house in an hour, yeah, yeah, lillian's so excited." she tells someone

"Who did you just call?" I ask

"Oh just chris, and ace, they're gonna take us to the party." she tells me

"What! No! Jenny!" I say laying back on her bed

She throws me a pair of jeans "here you can just wear these, I won't even make you wear makeup, and your sweatshirt isn't like, too ugly I guess."

Was that the best compliment she could think of?

After an hour the boys come to the house and we walk out, we go into Ace's car and they drive us to someone's house. It was on the same street as Ace's so obviously they had a huge house too.

We walked into the house and I immediately smelled the scent of alcohol, I hated it, whenever I smelt it.. It made me think about my mom

I felt sick, and I really had to go, like now... I guess I didn't think my mom still had that effect on me

Tears started to fill my eyes as I walked around the house, everything was basically spinning, I knew Ace way right next to me and I just turned to my side

I see Ace's face and I start to calm down a little bit "I-I can't stay here." I mumble

"Ok, go outside for one sec, I'll drive you home let me go tell chris." he smiles and kisses my forehead "it's alright lilly."

I made my way out the house and waited by the sidewalk, it smelt a lot less like alcohol here so I was already feeling better

After like 3 minutes I turned around and saw Ace

My heart shattered at the sight, her arms wrapped around his neck and his arms were on her waist, and they were kissing!

He pulls away and goes wide eyed when he sees me "Lill-" I cut him off

"I don't want to hear it." I tell him to run off.. I don't even know where I was running, my apartment and jenny's house were both the other way around

But I realize Ace's house was just across the street.. I mean I wouldn't tell them what's wrong.. Just maybe stay there until my brother can pick me up

I hesitantly walked up the steps to Ace's house and wiped off my tears "ok, lillian, deep breath." I say to myself as I knock the door

After about 15 seconds Ace's mom opens the door "ah, well hello Lillian, what a nice surprise, Ace is at a party if you were looking for him." she says

I shake my head quickly, mostly to stop myself from crying "n-no, I'm fine, I just uhh.. Got lost.. And I was gonna call my brother but I didn't want to wait by the street, but like if you're busy I totally get it." I say lying about why I'm really here

"No, no, darling, Mary, Sarah, and Matthew are all out, it's just me, my husband and Anne for now, feel free to stay until your brother gets here." she gives me a warm smile

How can someone so sweet give birth to a cheater like him!

"Ok, Thanks Mrs. Aaron." she invites me in and I see Anne laying on the couch playing with a disney princess doll, who looks to be moana wearing a sleeping beauty dress
