Xue Yang was sharing a room with Xingchen who was sitting at a table reading over the book. "Are you really going to memorize all of that?" He asked.
"Yes, you never know when something might be useful to use," Xingchen said.
"How?" Xue Yang asked.
"You can use the rules against anyone," Xingchen said still reading.
"Well I'm not doing it," Xue Yang said, he sat next to Xingchen and rested his head on the man's shoulder.
"That's fine," Xingchen said, "it was your choice really."
"Yeah," Xue Yang said. He smiled up at the man innocently who looked down and smiled back. But that smile was hiding a smirk, he leaned up licked Xingchen's sensitive spot gently.
"Xue Yang," Xingchen warned, "you better stop."
"Or what?" Xue Yang asked seductively, "What will you do darling?"
"I'll-I'll!" Xingchen sighed, "I don't know! But it won't be good that's for sure!"
Xue Yang chuckled, "See? You probably don't even want me to stop."
"I do! You're my friend, and I'm sure you don't do this to Wei Wuxian," Xingchen said.
"He isn't easy to tease, you are," Xue Yang said, "he's also the type to tease others."
Xingchen turned red, "I am not easy to tease."
"Yes you are," Xue Yang said, "darling," he licked the spot again and began sucking on it harshly. Xingchen bit his lip at the feeling and closed his eyes, I will not give in.
"Xue Yang, you can't make me-ow!" Xingchen pulled away when Xue Yang sucked on the skin a bit too hard.
"What?" Xue Yang asked completely oblivious.
"That hurt!" Xingchen exclaimed, "You need to calm down!"
"No," Xue Yang said and licked the man's neck like before. He sucked on the skin, softer this time, and licked the spots. He left marks on the man's neck and trailed down to his exposed collarbone.
Xingchen tilted his head back instinctively and let the man do what he wants. He grabbed Xue Yang's hair with one hand and gripped it tightly, he let out a soft moan and whimpered when Xue Yang sucked a bit too hard.
"So you do like this," he whispered, "don't you."
Xingchen nodded desperately, "Yes, keep on going," he said softly, he knew very well that there was two guards outside that could hear them.
Xue Yang grabbed Xingchen's waist and picked him up, then placed him on his lap. He leaned down and kissed Xingchen's collarbone again, as he went lower to Xingchen's chest he tore open the man's clothes.
He sucked on Xingchen's chest and went to his nipple. He sucked on the bud and licked it, causing Xingchen to muffle a moan. He bit the bud harshly and Xingchen jerked forward, his hips grinding against Xue Yang's front.
Xingchen covered his mouth as he moaned loudly, this cleared his mind, "Xue Yang...w-we shouldn't be doing this," he whispered.
"Why not?" Xue Yang asked, "Because we're both men? Because we used to be enemies?"
"We just can't," Xingchen said, he stood up and walked to the bed on the other side of the room.
Xue Yang watched him with dazed eyes that soon cleared, he thought about what he just did and looked down. Why did I do that? He must feel so disgusted, damn it I really have to control myself.
He leaned his elbow on the table and rested his head on his hand. He closed his eyes and let sleep take over his mind.

It was the next day and everyone was crowded, they were chatting and laughing until a booming voice echoed in the air, "Second Young Master Wen is here!"
Everyone stopped talking and went to their original spots. They stood still in silence and Wen Chao spoke, "We will be reciting the rules today, I will choose some of you to recite them and if you do not you shall be punished. I choose, Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian, Xue Yang, Jin Zixuan and you," he pointed at everyone and at the end at Xingchen, "what's your name."
   "Jiang Xing," Xingchen said bowing.
"Great, you all will be reciting the rules."
"I cannot do it," Wangji said.
"Me neither," Zixuan said crossing his arms.
"Xue Yang, Wei Wuxian, and Jiang Xing, will you?" Wen Chao asked.
     "I will!" Wei Ying said.
"Wei Wuxian, you better do this right," Wen Chao said.
Wei Ying walked forward after looking at Wangji and moved his arms, stretching. He stretched for a few seconds before being interrupted, "Wei Wuxian! Are you going to do it or not?"
"Yes, I will. What is the hurry? Listen carefully. Thou shall not kill, or fight. Thou shall not shout, wander at night, or sprint. Thou shall not bully the weak by being strong or tease others. Thou shall not breach laws," Wei Ying said.
"He has some nerve," Xue Yang whispered.
"Thou shall not skip class, or leave early. Thou shall not sneer. Thou shall not sit improperly," he looked up at Wen Chao at the last words.
"Shut up!" Wen Chao yelled standing up, "Wei Wuxian! How dare you read out loud the
Lan's principles here in Qishan?"
"Ah! Is that right?" Wei Ying hit himself with the book softly, "I'm such a fool, I got it wrong. I apologize, I will try again."
"Shut up!" Wen Chao yelled, "Do you think you can play me?" Wei Ying pouted and shrugged, "Soldiers, take them to the vegetable garden...to carry the dung!"
"Carry the dung?" Wei Ying asked softly, he turned to Wangji, "Lan Zhan."
Xue Yang turned to Xingchen and they both smacked their faces in disappointment.

"Isn't my way better?" Wei Ying asked as they all carried the baskets.
Zixuan shook his head and walked faster. They were scooping the dung out and Wangji was pouring it out, "Lan Zhan," Wei Ying said, "do you need me to get a scooper for you?" The man didn't answer and continued his task, Wei Ying continued, "Why does the Lan Clan have a silencing spell and not a smell-blocking one?"
Wangji picked up the baskets and walked away. Wei Ying hurriedly poured the dung out and picked up the baskets, he ran to Wangji and walked next to him, "Lan Zhan," he whispered, "I heard Wen Xu and some soldiers were on their way to Cloud Recesses, believing that Xue Yang's Yin Iron shard was in our hands."
Xue Yang looked up at his name, "I still have it," he whispered from his task.
    "You do?" Xingchen asked.
"Yeah, I just have it hidden," Xue Yang said, "I'll show you later." He picked up his baskets and walked next to Wei Ying and Wangji.
"Did they cause any trouble?" Wei Ying asked. Wangji stopped walking, "Something bad happened, right?"
The man walked faster and Wei Ying got frustrated, "Lan Zhan, say something!" He put a hand on Wangji's shoulder but it was hit by a leather object.
They jumped away from each other and Wen Chao walked up to them, "I knew you wouldn't be doing your work. What are you guys whispering about? Say it out loud."
Xue Yang dropped the baskets and stepped in front of the couple, "We were talking about how the smell of the dung is so familiar. Wei Wuxian figured it out and was about to tell us when you interrupted, so why don't you let him tell us."
"Yeah, and I know now that you approached us," Wei Ying said.
"What are you suggesting?" Wen Chao asked.
Wei Ying leaned forward and sniffed, "Isn't that smell on you?"
