"A-Cheng, are you ready?" Xingchen asked. He was getting himself ready for the trip to Yunmeng while Jiang Cheng ate quickly.
"Yeah," Jiang Cheng mumbled through a full mouth, he stood up and grabbed his sword. Xingchen chuckled when some if the soup dribbled down the man's chin, he grabbed a napkin and dabbed Jiang Cheng's mouth.
"There, now let's go," Xingchen said. They walked outside and went on their way to Yunmeng.
They arrived and hid behind a couple if trees and watched the guards. Xingchen took off his mask and arranged his hair, he looked like an innocent young man waiting to have fun, "Wait right here," he said softly.
He walked out of his spot and went to the guards, "Excuse me," he whispered tenderly, "but where am I?"
"Hello beautiful," one of the men said, "you are at the Supervisory Office of Yunmeng."
"Oh! I heard many great things about this place," Xingchen smiled sweetly, "do you mind if I take a look?"
"I'm afraid not," the man said.
"Oh, but I've really been wanting to see how it was," Xingchen pouted and ran a finger down the man's chest, "we can have a little fun after."
"Let me ask Young Master Wen," another guard said, his eyes filled with lust.
"Thank you darling," Xingchen said with a soft smile.
The guard walked inside and soon came out with Wen Chao and Lingjiao, "This is the man, can he come in."
Wen Chao looked Xingchen up and down, "Do you belong to any clan?" He asked.
"No sir," Xingchen said softly, "I am simple a traveler."
"You have fine clothes, you seem rich," Wen Chao pointed out.
"I have a friend that used to be in a clan, I forgot what clan he came from but he would always care for me," Xingchen said.
"Your voice seems familiar, have we met?" Wen Chao asked.
"I don't think so," Xingchen replied, he looked at Wen Chao and batted his lashes.
The man smiled and nodded, "Bring him in!" He said.
"Thank you young master," Xingchen smiled and walked behind the guards inside. He turned around and gestured for Jiang Cheng to follow him.
He walked with the guards who led him to a table. He sat down gracefully and looked up at Wen Chao who sat down with Lingjiao, "Young master, who is that beautiful woman next to you."
"She is Wang Lingjiao," Wen Chao said.
"Well she is very pretty, you must he happy to have her," Xingchen commented. He smiled his thanks at the servant who brought him his tea and turned to the couple again.
"I have heard many stories about this place, but I never knew the truth. How did this come to be the Supervisory Office?" Xingchen asked taking a sip.
Wen Chao smiled, "This was just a big fight that we won. You should've seen it, I was the best fighter there."
"I'm sure you were," Xingchen said smiling, "you look like the type of person to be a wonderful fighter. Very strong and wise."
Wen Chao was beaming, "I like you! Would you like to become a part of the Wen Clan? You seem like a very good addition."
"I am flattered," Xingchen said, "but I only came to visit and see the things that will soon become history."
"Are you sure?" Lingjiao asked, "Young Master Wen is offering you something very big."
"I'm sure, I would like to continue traveling the world," Xingchen said kindly.
"Would you like to stay the night?" Wen Chao asked.
"I couldn't possibly, I am just a traveler," Xingchen said.
"It's fine," Wen Chao said, "guards go set up a room for this kind gentleman."
Xingchen smiled, "Thank you," he said.
Wen Chao was smiling at him when he suddenly saw the mask on Xingchen's waist, "Where did you get that mask?"
The man froze, "This mask? My friend gave it to me," he lied.
"It looks very familiar," Wen Chao said suspicious, "what was the name of your friend?"
"Song," Xingchen said, "his name is Song."
"And does he belong to any clan?" Wen Chao asked.
"No, he is not," Xingchen said, "do you have any more questions young master?"
"No, that is all," Wen Chao said narrowing his eyes, "you may go."
"Thank you," Xingchen bowed his head and walked away with the guard. He was led to his room and the guard walked in with him.
"Didn't you say we could have fun?" The guard asked getting close to Xingchen.
"Yes, why? Do want to now?" Xingchen asked.
"Yeah," the guard leaned in and Xingchen took out his sword. He sliced the guard's neck and watched as the body fell to the ground, "Idiot," he whispered.
He walked to the window and opened it. He looked down and saw Jiang Cheng, "Uncle, I'll distract the soldiers. You go and kill Wen Chao."
"Alright, be careful," Xingchen said before closing the window and walking to the door. He opened it and saw Wen Chao standing in front of him.
"Who were you talking to?" The man asked.
"Uh-I saw a cat outside," Xingchen said.
"A cat?" Wen Chao asked.
"Yes, it was very pretty," Xingchen smiled, "I couldn't help but talk to it."
"Hmm alright, also can I see that mask of yours again?" Wen Chao said.
"I'd rather you not," Xingchen said taking a step back, "it was from my friend. And I haven't seen him in a long time, so I want to treasure something of his."
"May I see it though, I won't touch it," Wen Chao promised.
"Here," Xingchen sighed and took his mask out. He showed to Wen Chao who immediately recognized it, "It's not much."
"You-!" He was cut off by a punch in the face, "Guards!" He yelled.
Immediately, a group of guards came running with their swords in hand. Xingchen took his sword and directed it at the guards, he stepped forward but was pulled back by his hair, "Hey!" He yelled and turned around.
He lashed with his sword and cut Wen Chao's arm a bit. The man let go and Xingchen turned around to the guards. The guards ran to him and attacked all at once.
