The real Lingjiao was using a stick in defense to the air, "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have got you killed! I'm sorry!" She fell to her knees and dropped the stick. She took a broken piece of thick glass and picked it up with shaky hands, "I'll punish myself!" She said.
She raised the glass and cut her forehead. It was a deep and long cut that was bleeding heavily, "I scarred your face, I'll make up for it. I'll make up for it."
A long piece of cloth flew in through the window and landed on a board on the roof. She looked back and saw two figures past it on the roof. One was playing a flute, which reached her ears. And the other was playing with a sword in hand, a swishing sound floating through the wind.
Soon the woman was hanging from the roof by the long piece of cloth. While Wen Chao kowtowed to the air, "Please don't kill me! I didn't kill you! Wen Zhuliu did! Not me!"
Zhuliu came in through the door and ran to his master. He grabbed the man's collar and pulled him up, "Let's go," he said.
"I didn't do it!" Wen Chao yelled as he was pulled away. He cried out and screamed every once in a while as he was dragged away.
Xue Yang watched the scene and snickered, "What an idiot," he said, "can't even handle a girl."
"You couldn't before either," Wei Ying said.
"I wasn't that bad," Xue Yang said. Wei Ying looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "Fine, maybe I was."
"There's the answer I was looking for, now let's go," Wei Ying grabbed Xue Yang's hand and pulled the man away.

Jiang Cheng, Xingchen, and Wangji were all walking down the path in the forest when they saw multiple dead bodies, lying on the floor. They walked over and checked them, some of them had scratch marks all over their faces, and some were bleeding from every hole on their head.
"Do you think it was the same person?" Jiang Cheng asked.
"Maybe," Wangji said, "some of them bled out of every hole on their head."
"Let's keep going," Xingchen suggested, "maybe we'll catch whoever's doing this."
They continued until they got to the next Wen mansion. Where they saw Zhuliu walking inside. Jiang Cheng started forward but Xingchen held an arm out for the man to stop.
"Don't be rash, we must investigate first," he said.
Jiang Cheng sighed, "Fine." They left the disciples outside and jumped on the roof with Wangji. There was a hole on the roof letting them see inside to the room where a huddled figure lay in the corner.
Zhuliu walked inside with a small bag. He sat down at the table and grabbed the figure gently, "Let me treat your wounds, or else you'll die."
The man immediately rushed to him. He said in a shaky, panicked voice, "W-wen Zhuliu, do you-do you think he'll find us? After running so far away and for so long do you think he has a chance?"
Zhuliu didn't reply to his question, "Let me treat your wounds." He took out two small bottles from the bag while the man took his hood off, revealing a scratched head and a burned face. It was Wen Chao.
Everyone's eyes widened from the rooftop, how could anyone be capable of doing such a terrible thing?
They watched as Zhuliu gave the man a small pill and clean his wounds, with the man first screaming then clenching his teeth at the pain.
The doors of the mansion opened and two figures walked in. They walked up the stairs with a dark aura surrounding them, Wen Chso noticed the door opening and ran to the corner of the room.
Zhuliu stood up and faced the door as the figures walked up the stairs. The two men walked into the room and soon walked out into the light. It was Xue Yang and Wei Ying.
Xingchen saw them and his eyes widened, he wanted to jump down but knew that he couldn't.
"Do you really think calling his name will be able to protect you?" Wei Ying asked.
"What are you doing here?" Zhuliu asked.
Xue Yang chuckled, "What do you think?"
"Wen Zhuliu do you really believe that you can save his cheap life?" Wei Ying asked, "From us?"
"I will try with my life," Zhuliu said.
Wei Ying scoffed, "Such a loyal dog."
"I have to repay His Excellency for the kindness and promotion."
"What a joke!" Wei Ying spat, "Why do other people have to your gratitude to Wen Ruohan?" He lifted his flute to his lips and blew softly creating a strong melody.
Xue Yang smirked at the sound and watched as a bright red smoke turned into a person and landed in front of Wen Chao.
She uncovered the man's head causing him to gasp in shock. Zhuliu heard the noise and turned back, he attacked her but was scratched.
They fought and the woman scratched the man several times before disappearing into the wall. Zhuliu turned to Wei Ying and started forward, aiming at the man's throat.
Xue Yang immediately drew his sword at lightning speed and stepped in front of the man.
Wangji saw Zhuliu and let the roof fall beneath everyone's feet. Jiang Cheng landed behind Zhuliu and his Zidian cackled. He wrapped it around the man's throat and pulled him up.
Wangji and Xingchen landed in front of Xue Yang who put his sword back in it's sheathe. They watched as Zhuliu was strangled to death and dropped dead to the floor.
Jiang Cheng walked forward after releasing Zhuliu and threw Wei Ying's sword at him, "Your sword."
The man caught it and looked at it wistfully.
Xingchen and Wangji had turned around and Xingchen stepped forward hugging Wei Ying tightly. "A-Xian," he whispered, "I missed you."
Wei Ying relaxed and hugged the man back, "I missed you too."
The two men separated and smiled at each other, "How have you been? You look so thin! Have you been eating well?" Xingchen said.
"I'm fine Uncle, you're the one that looks thin," Wei Ying said.
"Don't worry about me," Xingchen said smiling, "I'm fine now that you're here."
Xue Yang cleared his throat, "Ehem, we're all still here you know?"
Xingchen turned to him with cold eyes, "You!" He stalked forward and stood in front of Xue Yang. He slapped the man harshly, "That's for not saying anything!" He slapped the man with the back of his hand, "And that's for leaving me!"
"I deserved that, I'm sorry," Xue Yang said.
Xingchen glared at him with teary eyes befoe softening, "I missed you moonboy," he whispered before throwing his arms around Xue Yang's neck and crying softly in his shoulder.
Xue Yang smiled softly, "I missed you too starboy."
