"Mother," Jiang Cheng started.
"Back off," the woman snapped.
"This Wei Ying should be your servant in the Jiang Clan, right?" Lingjiao said, "Considering Clan Leader Jiang's absence, I suppose Madam Yu can be the judge. If there is anyone shielding him in the Jiang Clan, I can assume that those old rumors..." she giggled, "are true."
"What rumors?" Jiang Cheng asked.
"You know, don't you?" Lingjiao asked, "They're nothing but some romantic affairs of Clan Leader Jiang."
"You mean-!" Wei Ying was cut off by a whip hitting his back and stomach.
"Mother!"
"Madam Yu!"
"Move aside, Jiang Cheng, Xiao Xingchen," Madam Yu said angrily, "or you'll kneel down too."
"Stay out of this," Wei Ying weakly said pushing Jiang Cheng away. Xingchen shook his head and stayed in front of Wei Ying.
"Madam Yu, what did we talk about before?" Xingchen asked softly, "You need to stop letting the rumors and maybe even the past get in your way."
"Do you want to get hit too?" The woman roared.
"Uncle," Wei Ying said, "stay out of this," he pushed Xingchen aside. Madam Yu hit Wei Ying with the purple whip causing him to fall back onto a table.
The whip was Zidian. It was a high level spirit tool that was so full of energy that you could see purple sparks coming from it. It was stronger than any other regular whip and could separate the soul from a body if wanted to.
"Wei Wuxian!" Jiang Cheng yelled as he was held back by the two female servants.
Xingchen kneeled in front of his nephew, "Madam Yu, please stop."
The woman instead hit him on the side causing him to get thrown to the wall, "Uncle!" Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng yelled.
"Madam Yu, punish me not him," Wei Ying said getting up slowly.
"I've already said it, you...you undisciplined bastard!" Madam Yu said, "You're going to bring trouble to the Jiang Clan sooner or later!" She hit Wei Ying again causing him to fall on his stomach.
He held himself up by his forearms and tried to sit up. He was hit again, this time harder. He felt blood pool up in his mouth and endured the pain. The woman hit him again and he let some of the blood drip from his mouth.
Xingchen had ran back and stood in front of his nephew, "Madam Yu, stop!"
"Get away!" The woman yelled and hit his side again. He fell to the ground on his knees but kept his head high.
"Madam Yu, I need you to think about what you are doing," he said as blood dribbled from his chin.
The woman was about to hit him and Wei Ying again when Jiang Cheng stood in front of her, "Stop! Mother, stop."
"Jiang Cheng, get away from them," Madam Yu said. Her servants went and grabbed the man again.
"Is that all?" Lingjiao asked when Madam Yu didn't hit them anymore.
"What?" Madam Yu asked.
"This is it?" Lingjiao asked again.
"What do you mean? Wha class do you think my Zidian is?" Madam Yu yelled, "Having taken that, they won't be able to get up until next month. They'll suffer"
"But he will heal on day right?" Lingjiao said.
"What on earth do you want?" Jiang Cheng yelled, he was frustrated that he couldn't help his brother and uncle.
"This is meant to be a punishment, something that he will remember and regret," Lingjiao said, "besides young people always forget the pain once they heal."
"What do you want me to do? Cut his legs off so he won't get up again?" Madam Yu asked.
"Young Master Wen wouldn't do something as bad as cutting someone's legs off," Lingjiao said, "cutting of his right hand will be enough. I can bring the hand to our young master and there won't be anymore problems. But if he has to come, I'm afraid it will be much harder."
"Jinzhu, Yinzhu, shut the doors so no one sees the blood," Madam Yu said after a moment.
"Mother!" Jiang Cheng kneeled in front of his brother and uncle and grabbed his mother's arm, "mother."
Xingchen crawled to Wei Ying and put the man's head on his lap, "Wei Wuxian, are you alright?" He whispered.
"Mn," Wei Ying softly nodded and Xingchen sighed in relief.
"You'll be fine," Xingchen whispered, "she isn't going to cut your hand off. I can see it in her eyes, she still cares about you."
"Sure," Wei Ying weakly said.
"I'm starting to adore you Madam Yu," Lingjiao said clapping, "I'm sure we'll get along very well in the Supervisory Office."
"Supervisory Office?" Madam Yu asked.
"Yes, Young Master Wen is planning on making some Supervisory Offices, and I think Lotus Pier is a good place," Lingjiao said.
"What are you saying?" Jiang Cheng yelled, "This is my home!"
The young woman stood up, "Madam Yu, I advise you to discipline your son properly. For hundreds of years, all other clans should kneel before the Wen Clan. In the presence of the Wen emissary, how could you say something like that? I thought the Lotus Pier was old and had some traitors, and therefore not worthy to take the responsibility. However, I can see you are obedient and I like your temper. So I decided to grant you the right-"
She was cut off by a burning spot on her cheek. "You reckless maid!" Madam Yu said.
The soldiers drew their swords and pointed them at Madam Yu. The woman's whip cackled and she hit every guard in the room.
Xingchen smiled, "Told you," he whispered.
"She's scary though, isn't she?" Wei Ying said.
"She sure is," Xingchen said.
The woman grabbed Lingjiao by the throat, "You should look at the owner before you kick a dog." She glared at Lingjiao," How dare you barge into my house and punish my family members before me? Who do you think you are? How can you be so impertinent ?" She slapped the woman again.
"How dare you!" Lingjiao said, "I'm telling you the Wen Clan and the Wang Clan of Yingcuan won't spare you!"
"Shut up!" Madam Yu slapped her again, "You mean maid," she let the woman go and stood up properly, "the Yu Clan of Meishan has existed in the cultivation world for a hundred years. I have never heard of some Wang Clan of Yingchuan. Which filthy gutter did you come from? Such a low clan. Is the whole clan full of low beings like you? You dare bring up superiors and inferiors. Let me tell you what they are! I am superior," she put her foot on Lingjiao's head, "you're inferior."
The woman tried to move her head but it was pushed down even more. She hit the floor and grunted but couldn't move. Everyone else watched in fear, Madam Yu was a scary woman after all.
Madam Yu moved his foot away. She turned to her servants and nodded, the women got the signal and nodded back. They ran to each and every soldier and sliced their necks, one by one.
