"If we dies with resent and become a ferocious ghost to haunt you," Xue Yang continued, "you should be careful." He giggled.
"You shut your mouth!" Lingjiao said, as she grabbed Wen Chao's sleeve, "There is no such thing, people die and become a skeleton underground. Young Master Wen, we've been trying to catch him for so long. Wasn't it all for punishing them?"
"Of course we are," Wen Chao said, he turned to Wei Ying and Xue Yang, "putting an act to fool me? You should think twice!" He said before kicking Xue Yang and then Wei Ying in the chest. "Wen Zhuliu!"
"Wait a second," Lingjiao said lifting an arm, "Young Master Wen, it took us quite some effort to catch them. Wouldn't it be a shame if they died so easily? Our fun is just about to begin," she stepped forward and lifted her branding iron to Wei Ying's chest, she dragged the tip down the mark that was already there, burning the skin. His face twisted in pain and his eyebrows knitted, his lips trembled as he breathed heavily. His nose crinkled and he briefly closed his eyes.
She moved to Xue Yang and just pressed it on his chest, leaving the mark. The man's face showed nothing but a crazy smile, he was used to the pain and decided to scare the woman by stepping forward. She stepped back and removed the branding iron.
"Xue Yang!" Wen Chao said, "You really think you are not afraid of anything, and you're brave and glorious, don't you?"
"I didn't expect that you can really speak the human language," Wei Ying said causing Xue Yang to laugh.
"Showing off your speech again," Wen Chao said, "great! I'd like to see how much longer your backbone will last. Wen Zhuliu, pick them up!"
Zhuliu picked the two men up and they rode their swords into the sky. They went over some mountains where they stopped in the middle. Wei Ying narrowed his eyes and tried to look to see if there was a bottom, while Xue Yang simply smiled.
"Wei Ying, Xue Yang," Wen Chao said, "do you know where we are? We are in Yiling, this place is called the Burial Mounds. You, must have heard its resounding name." Wei Ying's eyes widened at the name, "It's a mountain of corpses, an old battleground. You can dig up a corpse wherever your shovel points. Countless, nameless corpses are randomly wrapped up and tossed here. Tch, tch, tch, look at all the dark clouds, isn't the hatred strong?"
Xue Yang felt something pulling him down, it was a strong force. It was his Yin Iron piece, he forgot he had it with him. He saw Wei Ying's eyes were filled with fear and looked at him, he knew the man didn't like this place at all.
"-This is still daytime," Wen Chao interrupted his thoughts, "wait until the night, and you'll see a marvelous exhibition of all sorts if things." The man laughed, "When a living person goes in, there is no returning for neither the body nor the soul. There's no way he can get out."
He put a hand behind Wei Ying's head, he had something specific against him, "Wei Ying, let me see if you can keep smiling until the end," he said before pushing the man down. He turned to Xue Yang, "You too Xue Yang."
The two men fell with a yelp. Wei Ying was screaming in fear while Xue Yang tried to get to his friend. He grabbed Wei Ying's arm and heard other high pitched screams, he took his Yin Iron out.
A dark smoke came from below and held them in the air. It pulled them down sharply after a minute, causing the both to scream in surprise. They fell to the ground below them with a grunt and their heads felt heavy, they had a concussionZ
    "Wei Wuxian!"
"Young Master Wei!" Voices yelled, they were coming from a sword a bit farther away from them.
"Xue Chengmei!" A voice yelled from the Yin Iron in Xue Yang's hand.
Wei Ying heard Wangji's voice coming from the sword, "Wei Ying," the deep voice said, "Wei Ying." He crawled over to the sword at the man's voice, the long grass hitting his face.
He reached a hand up and clutched the hilt of the sword. He pulled the sword and remembered when he took it from the monster in the cave. He let out a yell and struck the sword to the ground, "Wei Wuxian, do you want revenge?"
Wei Ying looked up with determined eyes, "Yes," he whispered before falling to his side on the ground.
Xue Yang heard a thud from a bit farther back and saw his friend laying on the ground, "Wei Wuxian!" He yelled and tried to stand up, he fell back to the ground and grunted. He half crawled, half dragged himself to the man and grabbed Wei Ying's wrist. He checked the pulse and confirmed that he was fine.
He sighed in relief and fell to the ground next to his friend. The Yin Iron was draining a bit of his energy as he held it, he weakly held it in his hand and looked at it.
"Xue Yang," a voice said from the rock, it was Xingchen's voice, "do you want revenge?"
The man lifted his head and looked at the rock, "Starboy," he whispered pulling the rock close to him, "starboy."
"Xue Yang," the voice said, "do you want revenge?"
"Yes," Xue Yang whispered and felt a strong wave of energy come to him. He was filled and overwhelmed with energy, it was so much that he began to feel pain. He clenched his jaw and held back a yell as the burning sensation throughout his body calmed down.
He collapsed to the ground and let the rock drop from his hand to the floor next to him. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply, he was tired yet energized. He felt so much resentful energy flow through him, it surprised him. But he was tired after staying up for a couple of days. He let his consciousness slip and his thoughts get clouded with sleep.
