KHEILANIE

For the next few days, it was quite and peaceful. Hindi kami nagpansinan na magkakapatid sa palasiyo. Hindi ko rin matignan sa mata si Papá. Panay ang iwas ko rito tuwing nakakasalubong ko siya pasilyo.

"Ate," tawag sa akin ni Viera mula sa hagdan. I just came out of the kitchen after eating some chocolates Khally made. She run down towards me and clasps my hand. "Have you seen Ate Khana?"

Umiling ako. "Hindi pa naman..." 

Honestly, I haven't seen her after our "gathering". She locks herself up in her room.

"I have a bad feeling. It's been a week." Wika ni Viera tapos tumakbo ulit ako.

"Hey! Wait for me!"

Sinundan ko siya at nakarating ito sa silid ni Khana. Nakabukas ang pinto nito at dahan-dahan kaming lumapit doon. 

"C-Codhille? What are you doing here? Where is Khana?" Tanong ko rito at lumingon siya sa amin na may hawak na sulat. Hindi niya sinagot ang tanong ko. Bagkus lumabas siya ng silid at iniwan kaming dalawa ni Viera.

"Ate... I think we already lost Ate Khana," aniya ng kapatid ko at tinuro ang kama ni Khana. 

I gape and stare at Khana's room. How long was she gone? Have we... have we been too careless to take care of each other already?

"Ate! Hahanapin ko muna si Kuya Dona." She said after she checks Khana's bed. "I will be back don't leave this room." Paalam na niya at tumakbo ulit.

Nothing make sense of what happened today. Because why is Khana's room empty right now, and there are letters scattered on her bed?

I went inside and collected the letters. Each one has a name address to. One of it has my name. I took mine and step out of the room.

Bumalik na si Viera kasama ang buong pamilya at si Kuya Dona. Pinagtagpi-tagpi ng dalawa ang kanilang ideya at hindi nagkakalayo ang mga sagot nila ay naisip na nila. Hindi ako makapaniwala, mahigit isang linggo na pala siyang nawawala at walang nakakaalam kung saan siya nagpunta. Hindi lang si Khana ang nawawala, pati na rin si Prinston, Paris, at Killio. 

Kaya lubos ang pag-aalala ni Kuya Dona at halos mawala na ito sa ulit  dahil hindi niya mahanap ang kaniyang kapatid. Killio is the only family member that Kuya Dona has. If he lost him like we are losing Khana, he might lose his path.

After all those theories, Codhille lose his cool and run out of the palace. I got worried of him and ask Kohlen to check on his cousin. He mustn't be left alone.

"How about you, Khei?"

"I will be okay. I will check on my family here. Somebody needs to keep an eye on Codhille, Kohl. Please, go and see him." He nodded and left.

Papá was silent his stare on the space is astray. I can see the pain in his eyes. It must be a huge lost to him. He badly wanted Khana to take his place. Wala muna sa aming magkakapatid ang pwedeng sumunod kay Khana. We are chronologically allowed to take one's position if the other is not able to perform her duties as Queen. Hindi pa naman naihahalal si Khana sa trono, kaya wala sa amin ang maaaring gumampana  bilang reyna.

I stayed longer and waited for everyone to disperse. My sisters and the pillars receive their messages and went their separate ways. I only stood for another couple of minutes before deciding to leave Khana's room.
