"Alice!" I yelled, shooting awake after a nightmare.
"Sunshine!" Alice cried, hugging me tight. "I'm here. It's okay. Did you have a nightmare?" I nodded, and said, "I want to see Elle!"
"I can FaceTime her and Jessica if you want." Alice said. I nodded, and she kissed me on the cheek and called Elle.
"Hey, sorry to bother you, but Cat had a nightmare." Alice said once Elle answered. Elle sighed, and said, "Oh, Sunshine...do you want to talk to Jessica?"
"Yeah..." I said, and Elle handed the phone off.
"Cat, just listen to my words, okay? I'm alive." Jessica said once she got the phone. I sighed, and said, "But...what if you die?" I knew it was stupid. But the fear has been haunting me for months.
"I'm not going to die, Cat. I'm okay. I'm coming home later today." Jessica said.
"I want to see you and hug you so tight and never let go!" I cried, letting all my feelings out.
"I want that, too. I promise you Cat, I'm not going to die." Jessica said. It felt kind of scary and weird to see Jessica in a hospital gown.
"You don't know that. If I lost you, I don't know what I'd do." I said.
"There is no reason why I would, Sunshine. My heart is healthy, my breathing is normal, as is my blood oxidation. I'm not going anywhere." Jessica said.
"I had a nightmare that Elle came home and told me you died...I woke up screaming." I said.
"But I'm here, Cat. I'm talking to you. I'm alive. I'm safe." Jessica said. That kind of made me feel better.
"I need a hug...I need to know it'll be okay...the nightmares...they aren't stopping..." I said.
"Can Alice hug you? Is that okay?" Jessica asked. I nodded, and Alice hugged me from behind, squeezing me tightly.
"How about you come to the hospital once visiting hours start?" Jessica asked, and I lit up. "There's that smile." Alice said, and I giggled.

"Cat! We're in here!" I heard Jessica call out. I ran into Jessica's hospital room and launched myself on her bed.
"Jess! I was so worried!" I said.
"I'm okay, Sunshine." Jessica said, hugging me tightly.
"Are you sure you're not going to die when I'm not looking?" I asked. Jessica laughed, and said, "I'm not going to die. Death is scared of me. I'm too awesome." I giggled a little, then said, "But all the nightmares I'm getting makes me kind of believe that you're gonna die. If I lose you..."
Jessica cut me off and cupped my face. "Look at me, Cat - really look at me, right in the eye. That's a good girl - I'm not going anywhere. Ever. You're not going to lose me."
"But what if I do? You don't know that." I said.
"Cat, you have to trust me. I have too much to live for to ever die. I have you, I have Elle, I have Broadway, and I have every single good thing in my life and you top every one of those lists. I couldn't leave you." Jessica said, hugging me.
"I'm just so worried...like...the crash has taken over everything. It's ruined my life. It's made me this insecure girl who can't be away from her mommy." I said.
"Everything you're feeling is perfectly valid. You're a kid." Elle said, sitting down with us.
"I love you, Jess...if anything happens to you...I will always love you..." I said, falling into Jessica and sobbing.
"I love you, too, Cat. I love you so much." Jessica said.
"How do you even put up with me? I'm a mess." I said, sobbing.
"We love you, we're your family, Cat, and family sticks together through thick and thin. We will always be beside you, come Hell or Highwater." Jessica said.
"Thanks Jess. I love you."
"I love you too, Cat."

"Wake up, Sunshine. We're home." I heard. Elle was stroking my forehead.
"It's late. It's 11PM. You slept for a while there. Over 12 hours." Elle said.
"Seriously?" I asked.
"I think your body needed the sleep." Elle said. "Now come on, I have ramen noodles."
"Ramen!" I cried, shooting up.
"Also, I have a surprise for you. Tomorrow, Ryan and Katie are coming over and they have a cheesy romance movie picked out for you guys to make fun of. Jessica's gonna join you too." Elle said.
"That'll be fun!" I said.
"Yeah!" Elle said, ruffling my hair. "Now eat and go to sleep. Ryan and Katie will be here at 11."
"Okay!" I said, eating my ramen and daydreaming.
AN: A lot of you wanted Katie, you're getting Katie! Also, THIS IS THE LAST TIME JESSICA WILL BE IN THE HOSPITAL. I HOPE. IDK, I'M EVIL AND ANGSTY. Anyways, hope you enjoyed! Catch ya later!
