A/N: hey guys, I'm so sorry for the long wait! I'm trying my best to update as soon as I can. Work is tiring me out so much that, most of the time, I'm too lazy to even open up my computer and start writing. To motivate myself, I came up with an idea: whenever I reach thirty likes on a chapter, I'll have to come up with a new one in the week that follows the thirtiest like on my last chapter. I'm gonna try this method, and hopefully I'll be more productive thanks to it! Anyway, thank you for the support, the votes and the comments. They make my day. Enjoy this one! <3

I was helping Faraji pick an outfit for the day when we heard some commotion down the hall. At first, I thought it was Michael who was back from the studio, but quickly, I heard Gloria greet my mother-in-law. We hadn't seen Katherine since the wedding, and seeing her at that particular moment was perfect: I knew that having her around would be a breath of fresh air for us.

No matter how busy our minds were because of the previous events, we would not let John ruin the precious moments we spent surrounded by our family. Over the years, I learned how to push away the incessant questioning and the fear battling inside my head caused by the visions, and I would teach Michael how to do so.

"Nana's here!" the little one cheered, jumping in place as I helped him put his t-shirt over his head."Hurry, mama!"

"Wait, wait," I chuckled, loving the sight of my over-excited son. "Let me lace up your shoes first," I told him, taking care of his white sneakers as I was kneeling in front of him.

"Is daddy coming home soon? He can't miss Nana!"

"Don't worry baby, he'll be home soon," I tired to reassure him, while I didn't know if Michael would be on time to see his mother. However, knowing my husband like the back of my hand, I knew for a fact that he would be late for brunch. "There you go, you can go now," I told my son who didn't waste a second to run down the hall to greet his grandmother.

I slightly shook my head at his overjoyed self, and sat on the edge of his bed for a second. I exhaled heavily, and tried to put all of my worries aside for a bit. I knew Katherine would read me like an open book if I didn't try, and the last thing I wanted to do was to worry her. All I wanted was to tell her all about the wonderful time we had on our honeymoon, to reminisce the days Michael and I spent in Barbados – this moment out of time where all that mattered was to enjoy our new life as husband and wife. Just thinking about it brought a smile to my face.

I came out of Faraji's room and headed to the hall where Katherine and Latoya were. When my mother-in-law saw me, a grin appeared on her face.

"There she is!" Latoya exclaimed, as I approached the three of them.

My mother-in-law's face lit up when she noticed me, as she put down Faraji who was already in her arms. She pulled me into a warm hug to greet me, and I hugged her back with the same force. To be honest, Katherine gave the best hugs ever, and I missed this feeling.

"I'm so happy to see you, Hayley," she told me in that sweet voice of hers.

"You look amazing, Katherine," I sincerely said, putting her at an arm's length. "I missed you."

"The feeling is mutual," she grinned again, pinching my cheek. She looked at me with insistence, studying each and every line of my face. Deep inside of me, I was getting nervous, afraid that she had noticed already that something was up. "Darling, you're radiant," she finally said, taking my hand in hers. "Look at you!" she exclaimed happily, as she made me spin slowly. "Barbados did you good, huh?"

"It did," I giggled, slightly embarrassed. Michael's parents' compliments were the dearest to my heart. "We had the time of our life."

"I can see that. You're glowing," she sweetly said, giving me a wide smile. "Is there... a possibility you that might be pregnant already?"
