A/N: hey guys! As promised, here is chapter thirty two. Initially, this chapter was split into two updates, but I decided to put it all together and have a big chapter. Drama is happening, so enjoy this one!
_____________
I stayed under the hot water for some long minutes, just sitting on the shower's floor with my knees up against my chest. I tried to comprehend what I saw, in vain. My mind was like a broken record, playing over and over again the latest images from my vision. Those flashbacks kept me from coming up with a consistent thought, a plan to follow that would help me change my family's future – to preserve my family's sake.
All I wanted was to take the first flight to Atlanta and be with Michael, but I couldn't do that. My husband would be back in a couple of days, I just needed to be patient until I could tell him everything, and try to process everything on my own for now.
I didn't dry my hair and decided to let my damp mane fall freely down my back. I put a white flower dress over my head and put some moisturizer on my face before I left my room. On my way out, I stopped dead in my tracks a few feet away from the door as the promotional ad I brought back from my vision caught my eyes. I sighed nervously, and folded it before I put it in my bra. As Michael was out of state, I needed someone to hear me out about what I had just experienced, I needed someone I could rely on. I needed Hayden.
I walked down the hall to the kitchen where my son and family were probably having breakfast. For some reason, I had this knots in my stomach on my way there. It had been a while since Michael and I spent time apart for more than a few hours, and his absence only increased my nervousness. My family was around and I was grateful for that, but they would never be able to replace Michael and the way he made me feel safe.
"Hey," my brother greeted me as I came in the almost empty kitchen. He was by himself, having a cup of coffee.
"Hey. Where's everybody?" I asked, confused, as I sat beside him.
"Andy and Faraji went feeding the animals with the staff, and I haven't seen Latoya yet," he explained, rubbing the tiredness from his eyes. "She's probably avoiding us."
"She'll come around. If not, Michael said he'd talk to her. He's been there with me, he'll find the right words to reassure her," I told him, as Adrian poured me a cup of coffee. "Thank you. You can go, I'll take care of the rest."
"Thank you, ma'am," she politely nodded before she disappeared in another part of the house.
"You look preoccupied," my brother observed, frowning at my demeanor. "I'm sorry if this whole thing with Latoya is laying heavy on you. I-I never thought it would be so--"
"It's not that, Haze. It's alright, really. I'm glad you told her. I'm glad we told her," I rectified, sighing heavily as I brushed my hands over my face.
"But you are preoccupied. What is it?"
Without speaking another word, I pulled out the ad from my bra and handed it to Hayden. He didn't ask any question until he unfolded the paper. Confusion was written all over his face at that point.
"I don't understand. Why are you giving me one of Michael's concert ad?"
"I brought it back."
"You brought it back? From Taiwan?" he asked me, raising an eyebrow.
"Wait, Taiwan? H—How do you know?" I asked, my eyes doubling in size. "This is from Taiwan?"
"Yes, it's written here in Chinese," he told me, pointing at the ad on the table. "What's going on, Hale? What is this all about?"
