Cat Ears

... off of the hanger.

"Huh - I forgot about these," Momo said, "I think it comes with a choker and tail if you'd like?"

"Sure - why not."

Might as well fully commit, you thought. You set the headband on your head with the fluffy, black cat ears.

"Want me to draw some whiskers for you?" Momo asked.

"I'm already in deep," you shrugged, "Cat me up!"

She retrieved some eyeliner from the adjacent bathroom and performed magic on your face - even mastering the flawless, winged line on your eyelid.

Momo clapped her hands together, "Done! I hope it's satisfactory."

"It's perfect! I mean, it's the coolest I ever thought I'd look as a cat. Thank you!" You said.

"No problem!"

When you returned to the party you noticed that everyone had gone outside. Momo's giant house had a giant yard to match, and haunted attractions were built into the garden area.

You could hear Kirishima's excitable voice exclaiming how cool everything was and girls squealing in delight and fear. Momo really knew how to throw a party, you thought.

However, this meant the refreshment tables were yours for the scouting, so you put off joining your friends for now. This was important.

You stacked chocolate strawberries with decorative skulls made of white chocolate onto a plate, and only stopped when you felt a pair of eyes on you - possibly judging you.

"Oh," you slowly set down the tenth strawberry, "Ha.., didn't see you there, Hitoshi."

He had been surprisingly silent. Even now that you spotted him he remained frozen, like in a daze, "(Y/N)..."

"...Hitoshi," you repeated, imitating his deep voice, "What's up? You're looking kinda pale?"

His sleepy eyes were as wide as they could go. The purple mop of hair that usually sat disheveled on his head was pulled back, much like the time you two went on a date. You noticed his attire and pressed your lips together.

"Pfft," you couldn't stop your laugh, "Wow, Shinso - or should I say, Count Shinso or Hitoshi Cullen. I thought you said you were too busy to come tonight?"

He broke from his trance and scoffed, "Hey, now, I'm not the one dressed as a cat. And I may have changed my mind - last minute."

"I'm just teasing you. Vampires are all the rage. Every teen girl's wet dream," you winked, "Or a lonely, middle aged woman..."

He'd had enough of your jokes, apparently. Shinso sauntered over in his all black suit, minus the blood-red vest. He grinned, watching you eat one of your many strawberries and pretending his towering presence didn't intimidate you.
