STATE SERIES #1

What a stressful day! I need to breathe ang daming paper works na deadline today kaya pa ba Pat? Siyempre, kaya kinaya ko na nga noon dapat pati ngayon.

"Pre- Ma'am pala need daw po ng sign niyo dito para ma-finalize na." Ibinaba ni Ari ang mga files na kailangan kong pirmahan pagkatapos ay tumawa siya, meaning she's teasing me because I have a lot to do and can't go to lunch.

"Alam mo ang gago mo talaga, Ari!" Tiningnan niya lang ako before she left me alone in my office with my date for today.

Ari is my secretary, she's also my friend way back in Senior high and college. She accused me na ang faithnews ko daw dahil akala niya puro boka lang ako dati well, pwede naman na joke lang 'yon pero in my case I need to.

"Ma'am you have a visitor."

"Bisita ba or bwisita?" Natawa siya bago niya tingnan ang nasa labas ng office ko "bwisita ata?" Patango-tango niyang sabi natawa nalang ako sa kanya that's the reason why I gave her my secretary position ayoko ng stressful sa work ko and she's my happy pill.

"Okay I think I know na kung sino let them in." Pumasok na ang mga kaibigan namin na akala mo tambayan ang office ko kaya prenteng umupo sila at tiningnan si Ari.

"Anong klase kang secretary di ka manlang nag-aalok ng drinks?" Singhal ni Naila kay Ari na ngayon ay nagme-make face. Natawa nalang ako sa kanila pero nawala din dahil sa epal na dumating.

"Miss Buenaventura, seems like you're having fun may I include myself?" I just laughed and look into her eyes. "You can join us naman but ask for my friends' permission first before you can join us."

Napatingin sila sa'kin at lumipat ang tingin sa aking nice and super jolly cousin na dinaig pa si Jollibee sa pagpapabida hindi naman ako sanay sa plastikan kaya I look at her with a poker face.

"Are you done mocking me?" I let out my laugh and stare at her for a while letting her know that's the best joke she said. "Am I?" She rolled her eyes before leaving us in my office.

"Ma'am I forgot to tell you" Napatingin ako kay Ari na nagdadalawang-isip kung sasabihin ba niya o hindi "Is it important?"

"Yes, actually ma'am your meeting with them will start at 3 pm sharp." I let out my sigh "What company?"

"Santiago Land ma'am" I stopped turning pages and look at her with doubts. "Did I misheard it?"

"No ma'am! They're on their way na ma'am and this is the important meeting you have for today." Napatingin ako kila Naila, Raymond and Mari na nakaupo sa sofa ng office ko "I guess iiwan muna namin kayo dito okay lang ba?" I smile at them while arranging my paperwork.

"Yeah! Sanay naman kami dito sa office mo Miss Buenaventura." I rolled my eyes while being guilty dahil pinapunta ko sila dito kasi akala ko walang meeting today dahil sunday and half-day lang ako but I guess I'm wrong. "What do you want for late lunch?"

"Pizza, Chicken and Carbonara sa'kin." Sabi ni Raymond habang nagcecellphone. I put my paperwork under my table separately my done and undone paperwork "Okay, tell Ari nalang so she can order we have to prepare pa sa conference room." I got my bag and walk towards the door on my way to the conference room.
