The four spirit servants successfully made it out of the underground. Erin told the twins, Thildah and Gallad, to cover the hole where we all came out and make sure that it won't be noticed and found as an underground path by anyone, though the matter about its mystery is not yet disclosed.

I could understand one thing from Erin's thinking. He might be also curious and thinking that there must be a sinister purpose behind this underground route, since it was built illogically.

The entrance is found underwater, and the exit is above the ground in a forest, which is just a feeble, useless wall. What could it be?

I watched the Ermiteans, with their power to grow roots and stems from the ground. They covered the hole. They made the layers of every stems to have thorns and thistles, and made it grow under the tree, its roots anchored to the deepest parts of the soil and to the tree so that no Arakkons could come out from the hole.

They simply had this hypothesis that if they're scared of sunlight because it will burn and dry them up, then, they might just go out at midnight since there's no hot sunshine but just a wide blanket of small bright stars and dark array.

The thought of them going out from there is killing me already.

Now, Erin told them to rest. And so, they obeyed.

After the four of them are gone, I didn't able to stop myself from asking. I'm really curious about these four spirits.

We're already walking away when I bothered to ask.

"Where should they rest? Aren't they going to come with us?" I asked.

Erin looked at me like I'm the most stupid person or hollow in this crazy world. Well, it's not my fault that I know nothing. Maybe he can just blame my curiosity.

He sighed and said, "Spirit servants like them who has no immortal body can never stay longer in battles or outside their home."

"Why?"

"Because.." he looks like he's already irritated. Well, I feel like I want to annoy him a bit. I just can't stop to know things that I'm curious with.

But, he continued anyway, "they need to be near their home.. or they'll famish and faint," he said with a serious frown. He pauses for a moment to look at me.

"If that happens.. they're going to fade away.."

"Fade away? You mean.. death? They will die?"

He didn't answered me, but just continued on walking.

So, those are the fate of a spirit servant. Even if they're that strong and powerful, death is still inevitable. Likewise to them-- hollows-- they can still die even if they are ageless and immortal just like what Erin said. Then, that means it doesn't make them immortal at all.

I'm confuse.

Suddenly, the ambiance started to change dramatically. What's this again?

When did these men in brown, hooded cloaks surrounded us?

We're not yet far away from where we came out when there's another death-giving situation that we didn't able to anticipate. Well, I just guess that it is.

I could see all their eyes glinting while staring at us, just like whenever Erin and Orthyl want to use their powers. They must be the Other-kinds that Erin told me about, the ones that resides here.

But why are they acting like this?

They surround us like we're caught in an illegal act and that we need to be arrested immediately.
