Amelia

"Are you sure it's him?" Lorenzo asked me.

"Yes I went in and spoke to him for a few minutes. He hinted he was looking for revenge. I asked him if he thought forgiveness was possible, and he answered something about an eye for an eye." I shared.

"It all makes sense." Theo said, still trying to process everything. "He lost a wife and a daughter. He's trying to hurt you the same way you hurt him."

"You said you talked to him. So you're close? Are you working for him?" Lorenzo asked me.

"N! I would never. I told you he just helped me out when I moved to New York. I didn't have anybody else. I knew him from training. He told me he could help me get on my feet. I swear Lorenzo I had no idea who he was until tonight! You have to believe me! I'll do whatever you want to prove it. I only went in to talk to him to confirm he was Dominic. Once I confirmed it I drove straight here!"

"Theo.. get out." Lorenzo said coldly.

"Dad. No. Please don't do this." Theo argued.

"Out!" Lorenzo repeated.

Theo looked at me unsure what to do. I was terrified. I had never seen Lorenzo angry before. What was he going to do to me?

Theo eventually gave in to his father's request and left the room. He closed the door, and looked at me like it would be the last time he'd ever see me.

"Lorenzo I-" I said, unable to finish my sentence.

"Shut it." He said.

"I'm struggling to understand the situation here Amelia. I find it hard to believe you lived with a man and didn't know his true identity. How do I know this isn't part of his plan?"

"It's not sir I swear. I haven't spoken to him in years. I had no idea he would be involved in this until I saw his photo. Theo explained to me this morning what happened with the Petrov's. I ran over here as soon as I left his place." I said, trying to stay calm.

"Where did you first meet him?" Lorenzo asked me.

"At training camp. He worked with Barboza. I ran into him again a few months after leaving the company, and trying to work on my own. I never learned anything about the man. He wasn't a talker. I don't know what he did before coming to work for Barboza." I explained. "Ask Alfie. Alfie knows him too. He worked with us for a while. He quit the company to run his own business through the bookstore."

Lorenzo sat quiet as he stared at me. He was considering his options. Kill me, or keep me. After moments of silence he finally spoke.

"I believe you." He said. "Now that we know what he's up to we need to figure out why. He can't be working alone. Did he mention a brother when you talked?" He asked.

"No, he didn't hint to anyone helping him, but I can find out. Just give me a few days." I told him.

"If Dominic is back and working with his brother and the Russian mafia we're in big trouble. Get me everything you can on the two of them." He instructed before storming out of his office.

Shortly after Lorenzo left his office Theo ran into it. I was still standing in the middle of the office when Theo ran up to me.

"Are you ok?" He asked in a panic. He grabbed me by my shoulders and inspected me to make sure I wasn't hurt.Thrown off by Theo's action I took a second to respond. I grabbed his forearms and took his hands off of my shoulders. "I'm fine, we just talked." I told him.

"I need to talk to Alfie. Where is he?" I asked Theo.

"I don't know, try one of the guest rooms. He's around here somewhere." Theo said.
