Theo
I laid in the bed with Amelia in my arms. She laid on my chest tracing my tattoos with her finger. She looked like she was close to falling asleep. I grabbed her hand and intertwined her fingers in mine. I circled my thumb on her hand as we lay there giving her little kisses on her forehead.
"Theo.." She whispered.
"Hmm?" I asked.
"Do you really think this is going to work? You and me?" She asked.
I paused before answering her, not sure what to say.
"Do you think it won't?" I asked.
"Well, I mean let's be real about this. The whole situation is messed up. You're a Romano, and I'm just someone you hired for protection. What happens when Alfie gets better, and you don't need me anymore? Are you going to get rid of me when you don't want me anymore?" She asked.
"Hey.. Amelia look at me." I was upset she would even think like that. "Why would you even say something like that? If I did something to make you think that I was using you I'm sorry, but believe me when I say that could never happen. You're a part of this family, and my life now. You aren't going anywhere. Even if you try and run I'll find you and bring you back here where you belong. I don't want to lose you again." I told her.
She gave me a smile and leaned up to me for a small peck on the lips. She let her head fall back to my chest. "Are you saying that because you mean it or because you're afraid I'll kill you if you do anything to piss me off?" She asked.
"A little bit of both." I joked.
She gave a small laugh, and closed her eyes. She fell asleep quickly. I fell asleep shortly after her, but first spent a few minutes admiring her as she slept.

I woke up before her. She looked so peaceful curled up in the comforter. I knew she hadn't been sleeping the past few days, so I was grateful she was finally resting. I could hear her in her room pacing each night. Everytime I came home late she was still up. She would pace around her room, head to her office, even sneak down to the kitchen when everyone had gone to bed. I knew staying at the house was hard for her. She felt uncomfortable here. I hope she knew it was temporary. If we could take care of our Petrov problem we could go back to living like normal. I'd buy her a house. She'd go back to working, and hopefully her stress would fade. I knew there was nothing I could do now to make her feel better. All I could do was support her, and be there for her like this when she needed me.
Amelia eventually woke up and we both headed down stairs for breakfast. I headed down first letting her change clothes, and stopped by her room first. When I got down to breakfast I was attacked with stares from people at the table. Sophia Marcus and Charlie did little to hide that they knew what happened.
"How was your night?" Marcus asked with a smirk.
"It was fine." I said shortly, giving him a look that could kill.
He dropped it, not wanting to provoke me, and went back to his bagel. Amelia walked into the dining room and sat down next to me. I gave the boys a glare, that let them know if they messed with her I would beat the shit out of them.
Mom entered the dining room soon after Amelia sat down. I poured Amelia a cup of coffee and she gave me a smile, and squeezed my hand in thanks. God, I was obsessed with her. She looked so cute in the mornings. Her eyes were heavy still, and her hair was a mess, it was adorable. She did her best not to draw attention towards the both of us, but it was hard keeping my hands off of her. She was acting cute, and she knew it. She finally gave in and let me rest my hand on her thigh as we finished breakfast. Just as we were almost finished Dad walked in.
