" Yes, my lord. I'll take my leave now, if you're done with me." You bowed respectfully to his thrown, keeping your eyes down the entire time. If not, he'd have your head in a second. That's how strict it is around here.
In the Sakusa Estate, you were but a mere medical nurse who worked for the family. There was, however, a difference between your job and the doctor they kept here. The difference was that you worked as a placebo basically.
They have a son ( and a daughter but she doesn't need you). This son of theirs, Kiyoomi, often had obsessive thoughts about germs and you were simply there as a sort of reassurance for him.
It was a smart idea since it stopped him from constantly occupying the official doctor from his work with his intrusive thoughts of being sick or needing to be medically disinfected by a professional.
The only downside was that this meant much of his time would be spent around you. Alone. together. And often times it would result in a full body checkup.
You had just been dismissed from the weekly status recap of their son. Every week, you were to report to King and Queen Sakusa and just kind of tell them what's been happening with their son.
You sighed and readjusted your nurses cap, slightly gasping when you opened your office door to be met with Sakusa already there.
" Prince." You stopped in your tracks. " You're early this morning. Something the matter?"
You closed the door behind you and brought out your thermometer, knowing full well he's going to want his temperature taken.
" There was a cretan in my sleeping chamber and I woke up with it on my pillow."
" Ah, so you're here for a disinfection, I believe?" The job was tedious, but you were in debt and needed to repay it. Given your natural talent in calming people and medicine, this seemed a perfect fit.
" Yes, and I want you to get rid of the damn thing first. Who knows how many times it touched me during slumber."
" I shall disinfect you as that is my duty, but if you speak to me that way I will do no such thing regarding the riddance of your new friend." Yes, it was your job but there was no way you were going to let him speak like a spoiled brat to you.
He raised an eyebrow. " Fine, I'll sleep in your chamber tonight, then."
" And how do you know it's completely sterile, hm?"
He stood up and neared you closely, looming over you with his height difference. " Are you denying my request, nurse? If I remember correctly, you're in debt to us, so is disobedience the smartest way to go?"
You scoffed and stared him in the eyes before angrily heading to his room with a glass jar. You entered with him tailing right behind you, the early morning light almost blinding you.
" Alright, where did you encounter this monstrosity?" You asked.
" As I said, I awoke and it was staring right at me on my very same pillow."
