The night was nearing timely and the sky was dimming darker with every passing hour. The trees rustled with the howling, crispy fall wind. During this time of year the grass blades looked their finest. So much so, it was easy to see the individual strands of green.

Y/n was excited, to say the least.

It was Halloween aka her favorite time of the year. The ghosts, the skeleton memes, the candy, all of it was so enjoyable to her. Not to mention that she was a sucker for children who dressed up in costumes.

 It was also her senior year at Tokyo University, which happened to be a hotspot for not only trick or treaters, but exciting parties as well. And by exciting, I mean exciting.

" BOO!" Kenji jumped from the shower curtain, scaring her and messing up her eyeliner.

Out of anger, she threw a water cup at his face, and there was a brief moment of silence between the both of them before they started in a small fit of laughter. However, he stopped abruptly when he saw her costume for the part his friend Kogenagawa was hosting tonight.

He tried to slink his arm around her waist. " well damn, bab-"

" Ah, Ah, ah, " She slapped his hand away teasingly and shook her finger, " Do you realize how long it took me to find couple's police costumes. You don't get to touch mine until you put on yours."

A small smirk made way to his face as he left to his dresser, thinking about all the things he could do to his lovely Y/n. Oh, the way her top cinched around her waist and the way her-

"Kenji, are you finished up yet??!" Y/n's loud door banging interrupted his admiration of his girlfriend. He hadn't realized how long he'd been distracted with his thoughts.

" Yeah, I'm done."

Her eyes lit up once he stepped out in his costume. His broad shoulders sent little shocks throughout her head. He was definitely a sight to see.

There was something about him that was so addicting to her. Was it his goofy boyfriend smile? His kindness and humor? His ambitious demeanor that constantly impressed her? Come to think of it, it's probably all of it.

She loved the man way to much for her own good, and she was well aware of the vice versa.

Her favorite part of his outfit were shamefully his handcuffs; honestly, she couldn't wait until there was a reason to use those. The single thought of the hard, metal clinking sound they'd make as they chained their wrists to the bed was too exciting in itself.

She'd have to stop imagining before they make new plans for tonight instead of the party.

" Earth to Y/n." He snapped in her face, making her head holt back in surprise. He seemed to like this affect he had on his drooling girlfriend. " Maybe you should be a firefighter instead, huh?"

" What?"

He placed a smirk on his lips as he grabbed the keys to his car, heading out the front door. " 'Cuz im obviously just too hot." 

She pursed her lips and nearly deadpanned. Yup, it was definitely his goofy side that stole her heart.

The car ride was pretty silent. Car rides were one of the few times when the silence between the two was normal and pleasant, and when music played in the background it made things even more serene. She was very glad that she and him had this ability to have an 'un-awkward silence'.
