"Are you sure you don't need me to stay again tonight?" Sam asked.

It was about eleven o'clock at night and Sam and Leo had been here with me all day just watching movies and talking about life. They had done a good job of keeping my mind off of everything and the movies and TV shows we watched had done a superb job of occupying my mind.

Sam had offered to stay with me again tonight but I declined. I needed to get over my fear of being alone and I couldn't necessarily let him waste his time with me though he claimed it was more than alright. I just didn't want to be a burden to him.

"No, Sam. It's okay. I promise," I assured him.

I was leaning up against my door while he stood in the doorway. Leo had already said his goodbyes to me and wasted no time in running back over to his room. He was still the same strange little nerd I had met just last weekend.

"Okay, Lea. Just know you can call me and I'll be right over," he told me.

I smiled. "I know. Goodnight, Samuel."

He chuckled. "Goodnight, Azalea," he parted as he turned to walk back into his room.

I closed my door and walked over to my dresser to get some clothes to wear to bed. After taking out Braelynn's favorite Pirates of the Caribbean t-shirt and a pair of black sweatpants, I changed and climbed into bed, reaching over to grab my phone and the remote off of my bedside table.

I switched the TV off and unlocked my phone. My mom's contact appeared in my notifications and instead of answering her text message, I called her. The phone rang twice before she answered. I smiled at the sound of her voice.

"Hey, sweetie. How are you?" she greeted me.

"I'm holding on as tightly as I can. What are you doing up so late?" I chuckled.

"It's only eight o'clock here, Lea. But, I'm packing up the house. I'm just about finished and I didn't want to wait until tomorrow because I know it'll never get finished if I do," she answered.

I giggled. I forgot the time on the east coast was three hours ahead of the time on the west coast.

"When are you expected to leave?"

"Well, your dad and Ironhide are supposed to be here within the next two days to help me load it all up. I even rented a damn Uhaul trailer. It just dawned on me how much stuff we have in this house," she laughed.

I frowned at the sound of Ironhide's name. "I'm just glad you're only going to be a few hours away from me," I said.

"Did you read my text message before calling me?" she asked me.

I pursed my lips. "I didn't. Why?"

She groaned. "I wish you would have read it, but I guess I'll just tell you. I got off the phone with Lora earlier and her and Ron felt really bad about not coming to see you before you left. They had a going away present for you and I believe you're going to love it," she chirped happily.

I raised a brow. "What is it?"

"They want to give you Braelynn's Cobalt. They already have enough vehicles as it is and they figured that since you have your license now and since you were in college, you would need a way to get around and a way to get to Washington for Thanksgiving break," she answered me.

My eyes were wide. "Seriously? But what about the insurance and everything? How am I supposed to pay for it? I don't have a job. All I have is money from graduation and I need that," I responded.
