"Light has a Shinigami." Was the first thing the detective told me during one of his breaks from watching the Yagami house.

He had entered the small kitchenette where I was putting the finishing touches on a cake I had made for the Shadow Prince.

All the other men were here today was either wandering the hall to stretch their legs or working outside of the main suite.

"Well, at least we know who to watch now."

"Yeah, but it doesn't really help me. How can I prove that Light is Kira?"

"We will figure something out Ryuzaki. Light is likely to mess up at some point." I replied, and the man remained silent for a few minutes. I turned to glance at him and noticed that he had that look of someone who was deep in thought. I turned back to my dessert.

"I was wondering about something (First Name)." He started after another minute of silence. I tilted my head slightly to indicate that I was listening as I cleaned up. "I found a book on different kinds of Mystical Children, and there was a chapter on some of the abilities available. It mentioned that Water Mysticals could create a special potion that makes people tell the truth."

"We can make truth potions, but it doesn't work the way most people think. It's not a spill your guts confession sort of thing. It'll only work if you ask the person specific questions, they'll have to answer honestly. It can't force a person to speak, and they can't say something that they either don't know for certain, or at least something they truly believe. And it doesn't always work for Mysticals either. It mostly depends on the power of the creator and the power of Mystical. Why?"

"I was thinking about how to get a confession from Light."

"It could work, if you're able to get a good reason to question him. However, it'll take a while for me to make it. Not to mention how long it'll take to get all of the ingredients. Some of them are from very specific places or can only be harvested in specific circumstances. Though if I make it, it has a pretty long shelf life." I mused.

"Do you know how to make it?"

"Yeah, back when I was learning to control my water powers I made some Mystical friends and we'd use some when we play truth or dare. I've made it a few times for those."

"Would you be willing to make a batch for the investigation? I will pay whatever you need for supplies."

"I'll make a batch. I'll need to see what I have and make a list of what I need and let you know."

(Time skip)

It turns out that I had almost everything I needed for the potion, and the few ingredients I was missing were things I could get with relative ease.

All I needed was a moonflower, a special flower that can only be found near certain waterfalls during the full moon. Luckily there was a small waterfall not too far away if I swim in my water form.

The other item was a gifted mermaid scale, which I got when I met a pod on my trip to the moon flower.

I am currently standing on the rooftop of the Taskforce Headquarters, finishing up the potion, which needs to brew in the light of the full moon.

I watched as the liquid began to swirl softly, indicating a finished product.

It won't be long now.

(Time skip)

The potion was ready and now we were just waiting for the perfect moment to give some to Light.

The day arrived when we listened to the second Kira's final message. Light and L discussed whether or not this was proof of the two Kiras meeting. L finished with declaring Light his friend, and the two geniuses talk about playing tennis again.

The taskforce all went off to get some food or to check in at the police station. I looked over at Light and decided that Light seemed relaxed enough to not notice anything, and so I went off for food, but gave Watari the potion bottle.

I went to my room to turn on the recorder that was connected to L's sitting room, where the two men were still working in.

I listened as Watari arrived and L gave him a quiet thanks, which was our code for L telling us he knew it's time.

I went to a small sweet shop in the hotel for some pie before returning to the main suite.

We continued working as if nothing had happened, aided with the fact that Light wouldn't recall anything he told L.

"Who do you think Kira is?" L asked.

"I am. Not only am I Kira, but I will also be God of the new world! I will become law and justice; the savior and justice; the savior of mankind. I knew I had to do it. I was the only one who could. I understood that killing people was a crime, but there was no other way! The world needs to be fixed!! This is my purpose.

"Do You know who the second Kira is?"

"Misa Amane is my current partner in justice. She wants to be my queen, the goddess of my new world. However, she isn't smart enough, or pretty enough. She is useful but expendable. Once she has helped me in my goal, I will get rid of her and find myself a proper goddess. One that is worthy to be by my side."

"How does Kira and the Second Kira kill?"

"We have special notebooks called Death Notes that allow us to kill with just a name and a face. Misa has the Shinigami eyes, which allow her to see your name above your head, so using an alias will not work on enough.her."

"You said Misa was expendable. What are you planning for her?"

"I have succeeded in getting close to the both of you, so when I am ready, I'll stage a meeting between you and Misa so she can see yours and L's names. She'll write your names down and have you die a week after you meet her."

We watched as Light's face went blank before he shook his head.

The potion had worn off, but what we learned was enough.
