I made a huge mistake

(Misa's pov)

I was bored. Mogi and I returned from my interview 

with the Yotsuba several hours ago, and I had been locked out of the monitor room. I couldn't even see Light.

I had been sitting in my living room here thinking over everything that happened to me.

Today I met a Shinigami named Rem, who apparently knew me. She told that Light was Kira.

A few months ago I would have been so happy to be dating the man who judged my parents killer.

Now however, I wasn't sure how I felt.

I do love Light, and I am still thankful for Kira. But now I have something I didn't have before. A real 

friend.

I had a few friends when I was a kid, but they all abandoned me after my parents were murdered, so they weren't truly my friends.

At least, that's what (First Name) has taught me.

I was so surprised to find that I wasn't the only girl here.

(First Name) was amazing. Such a sweet young woman who was more like an older sister than a friend.

She always cheered me up when I was upset, talk to 

me when I felt lonely, or when I needed a friend. She would hang out with me when Light couldn't get away from Ryuzaki. 

She even helped me understand what a true relationship is.

I had always hoped that if I did what Light wanted me to, I could make him love me.

Now that I know Light is Kira, I know that Ryuzaki and (First Name) are in danger.

So do I help Light, and ensure his success as the God of the new world, or do I save my only friend and the pervert?

Its really late, but I know that (First Name) should still be awake, so I get up to go to her suite.

I got to her floor and notice that the door was slightly open, and I could hear two voices, (First Name) and L.

"Are you serious?" I could hear L ask.

"Yeah, Dr. Faye told me, we're both healthy. Here, I have pictures too."

"We're going to have a little boy." He sounded excited.

"I love you L." 

"I love you too (First Name). I love you both."

I snuck away before either of them could notice me and returned to my room with thoughts swirling in my head.

(First Name) and Ryuzaki were a couple?

I knew that she must've at least have been in one good relationship before. We have had relationship chats before, talking about past boyfriends.

Ryuzaki though? I never would've thought he would even be capable of dating, let alone having a child.

A child. (First Name) and Ryuzaki's baby. The child of my best friend and the World's Greatest Detective. Of two people who Kira, who Light, wants to kill.

Could I go along with that? Making an innocent child an orphan just because my boyfriend hates his patients? Could I let Light do to that child like that man did to me? Especially since the child far too young to grow up without both of them.
