Demi's POV
"Hey, Mama." I said through the phone when Mom picked up.

"Hi, baby girl. What's up?" Mom asked me.

"I kinda need to tell you something. I need to tell Alex, but I don't know how to exactly tell her." I answered.

"What do you have to tell her?"

"I made the decision to send her to rehab. I didn't want to, but I feel like she's not getting better in my care." I sighed, putting my face in my hands.

"I think you just have to be blunt about it, Demi. Like how we were when we were going to send you to rehab." Mom told me.

"Thanks, Mama. I love you!" I said before hanging up. I walked upstairs to Alex's room and knocked on her door. This is going to be hard.

"Come in!" Alex shouted.

Alex's POV
I was sitting on my bed, scrolling through Instagram when someone knocked on my door.

"Come in!" I shouted.

"Alex, we need to talk." Mom stated.

"About?" I asked, looking up at Mom.

"Ithinkitisbesttosendyoutorehab." Mom said quickly. I didn't understand a word she said.

"What did you say?"

"I think it's best that we send you to rehab." Mom said slower this time. My world just came crashing down.

"No! I'm not going!" I yelled at Mom. "You can't make me!"

"Alex, I am your mother, you do not talk to me like that." Mom spoke sternly. "I don't want to send you there, but I think it's best for you to go. You can get the help you need there."

"Whatever." I mumbled and rolled my eyes.

"Watch the attitude, young lady. I want you packed and ready to go in.." Mom looked at the time on her phone. "Six hours."

"Six hours?! Ugh!" I threw a pillow at Mom out of anger.

"Watch it!" Mom shouted before she left my room.

I pulled out my suitcase and shoved a bunch of random clothes in there. I don't know how long I'll be staying, so it's just easier to pack random shit. I don't know why Mom is making me go. I swear, I'm not crazy.

"I finished packing." I announced to Mom as I bounded down the steps.

"Come eat, baby girl." Mom commanded as she put a sandwich on the table.

"I'll pass." I replied as I sat on the couch in the living room.

"You have to eat, Alexis." Mom came into the living room with the sandwich. She placed the plate in front of me. "I'm going to make sure you didn't pack anything you aren't supposed to. When I come back down, I hope to see you eating that sandwich." She spoke before heading upstairs. Luckily for me, I decided that I'm packing my blades before we leave.

"Batman! Ella! Come here." I whispered as soon as I was sure Mom was upstairs. They hopped up on the couch next to me. I took off tiny pieces of the sandwich and fed it to them. I heard footsteps coming downstairs. I shooed both of them off the couch.

"I'm proud of you, baby girl." Mom told me as I took a bite of the sandwich. She came over and sat next to me.

"I'm full.." I mumbled and pushed the plate away. Mom pulled me close to her.

"You know I'm doing this because I love you, right?" Mom asked me. I nodded. "I just want you to be happy, baby." She whispered as she kissed the top of my head. I cuddled into her warm, consoling embrace.
