A/n: Sometime back I saw someone request a lemony chapter in Ardeth's PoV. So here it is. This is the first-ever smut I wrote without any help from my better-at-writing-smuts friends. Hope you liked it.

Warning: Kinda public? (for my first smut I sure chose a difficult one)

Ardeth's PoV

After we purchased a number of items, some for me, some for Jasmine and some for our home. I took Jasmine's hand and walked to a small café on the main thoroughfare. When the owner saw who his customers were, he came rushing up to their table. "Sayyid!" he exclaimed. "It is wonderful to see you in Cairo."

I turned to Jasmine. "My wife, may I introduce my friend, Hassan. Hassan, this is my wife, Sayyidah Jasmine Bay." I couldn't help but notice the flush of colour on her cheeks as I said her name, every time I say her name with my last name, it made me feel content. After all these years of separation and distance, we are still here, together, without any doubts.

Hassan bowed to Jasmine. "My lady," he said politely, delighted that his Chieftain had referred to him as a friend. Jasmine smiled returning the greeting, one that is given to any Medjai which made Hassan curious but he kept his quiet but that didn't go unnoticed by Jasmine and me.

"My Lord seems to know you well and he lacks the sweet tooth to know you just for your café. It seems to be popular and there are a lot of tourists, also you gave him an assuring look when you first looked at him, that everything is okay. That could only mean that you are either an informant or a medjai but he did say friend so, medjai, it is." Jasmine satisfied the curiosity in a soft voice making sure no one was listening in to our conversation.

Hassan looked surprised for a moment but then a relieved look overtook his features as he bowed to Jasmine again but with more respect, "A lot of people were unsure if someone who has not grown up around us or knew us would be able to take care of the terrible alongside of our chieftain or not but I think we have nothing to worry about our tribe and chieftain are in very capable hands." Hasan smiled at me and I knew what he wished to say, nodding I gave him permission. Hasan stood straight looking straight at Jasmine who looked confused and curious at our exchange.

"My lady, I don't have my chosen weapon with me right now but, I pledge my loyalty and devotion to you, Chief Lady of the Medjai. To protect you and follow your command whenever you need me to. I swear on my pride as a medjai that I will not disappoint you. Until my last breath."

Jasmine's eyes glimmered with tears for a moment before she composed herself and thanked him for his pledge towards her. It was an honour and as my wife, she would have command over them anyway but to have been pledged to willingly be a completely different feeling. The heart touching moment soon turned into silence which neither knew how to fill.

"Jasmine enjoyed the pastries you sent a lot," I said breaking the awkwardness, I could see gratitude in Jasmine's eyes as she looked at me thankful for the topic change. Hasan clapped his hands together. "That is wonderful, Sayyida! I will have one of my sons prepare a package of them for you to take back to your home." Jasmine's face lit up at the mention of pastries as she thanked him again making Hassan laugh at her enthusiasm and delight at the mention of sweets.

After I ordered tea for myself and rose juice for Jasmine knowing she would enjoy the sweet and fragrant flavour of it. Hassan left the couple alone.

"And Hassan's wife is an excellent cook!" I informed Jasmine knowing she would love to have someone she could share recipes with. "I'm sure you both will enjoy sharing recipes together."
