The moment I entered my car and parked in front of my building where my apartment was in, I started crying. I don't get why I cry so much. But I let it all out when I understood that I was just....happy that Blake was here. I was happy that he understood and I suddenly felt....better.

I remember sitting back in my seat once I calmed down. I closed my eyes and exhaustion overwhelmed me. I didn't even want to step out of the car. But then my hand seemed to have a mind of its own, and I found myself touching the bloated area on the bottom of my abdomen. I looked down at it and smiled. I guess....it won't be that bad after all.

I tiredly walked in my apartment and saw a small note on the counter from my sister. She said to call her once I got home. So I did and she answered with a pant as if she's been running.

"Hey sis," I said. "I'm here."

"Okay," she said with a sigh. "Um...." I heard noises in the back and a scream. "Okay. Make sure you eat something light. Don't forget to mark the date I put on the back of the note. It's the appointment with the WIC offices."

"Mmkay," I said as I flipped the note and saw that it was in a week from today. "Anything else, Doc?"

More noises in the back and more screams. I furrowed my brows at this as she said, "On my way, doctor. Yes. Don't forget to get something to eat. Something light. Could be cereal. A protein bar--"

"Amy. You sound like your busy. Don't worry. I got it. Stay safe."

"Okay," she said tiredly. "I'll....I'll be home as soon as I get out of this place. No! Don't get out! Ma'am you need to stay at your bed!" She hung up and I wish I could've heard the rest. But then I was interrupted by Blake's call. I smiled down at the number and answered. He wanted to know if I got home in one piece. I'm liking this. That means I'll hear his voice all the time.

The next morning, I got up with a strong urge to pee. So I took the time to get ready for work and I looked at myself in the mirror. The small bloating area seems the same. I guess I have a little longer with these clothes. I will have to ask Blake to get me a bigger size of uniform.

When I stepped out of my room as I fixed my hair, I saw my sister sound asleep on the dining table. She had a bowl of cereal by her head and her hair was a mess. She still had her scrubs on and there was hints of blood all over it.

I gently ran a hand on her back and whispered, "Amy?"

She abruptly sat up and said, "I'm awake!"

"Gee, okay!" I said with a chuckle. "You haven't even touched your cereal."

Amy looked at the bowl with confusion and then at me. She checked her phone and then abruptly got up with wide eyes. "Oh my god! I'm late!"

"What?! But you haven't even taken a shower!"

"No no," she said as her hands trembled and looked for her car keys. "I need to get there or else I have poop duty."

"What?" I watched her as she stopped in front of the door and slowly turned around.

"What day is it?"

"Wednesday. The 25th of November."

"Really?"

"Mhm," I said as I started towards the kitchen. My sister watched me with furrowed brows and said, "Oh. Then I guess I'm free today....I thought it was Thanksgiving morning."

"No. That's tomorrow," I said as I ate a scoop of peanut butter. "You should change out."

My sister nodded as she slowly sat back at the table. She put a spoonful of whatever was in her bowl. Then her eyes closed and her head slowly laid down on the table.
