I've never had cramps before. But as I step into my sixth month of pregnancy, I've experienced cramps for the first time.

It's not lovely.

The night our special guest arrived, I was exhausted. God. I couldn't feel my feet anymore. My back felt like I had fire on it and my head seemed like it was going to explode.

I stepped out into the parking lot with a groan and I slowly walked to my car. Then Blake ran up to me and said, "Baby. I wanted to see if you were okay."

"I'm tired," I said to him. "You should let me go home now."

"Right," he said. He gave me a warm smile and his kiss sent a relief over my tensed muscles. "Call me once you're home."

"Okay. Goodbye, chef," I mumbled. "I love you."

"I love you, too," he softly said as he watched me leave.

As usual, I got home to an empty apartment. But I didn't care this time. My sister has been going out a lot. She doesn't tell me what it is anymore. Either she's at work, or with Harry, or she's become into a drug dealer or something. Whatever it is, it's been happening since that day at the library.

But I tiredly sent a text to Blake and changed into more comfortable clothes. The moment my head hit the pillow, I knocked out. But I woke up in the middle of the night with a pain that froze up my whole right leg. I let out a groan as it got worse. Another loud groan escaped my lips and I barely heard the door opening as my sister came running in my room.

"Abi?! What's wrong?"

I closed my eyes at this stretching pain and said, "My leg..."

"Your leg?" she said. "Do you have cramps?"

I let out a groan and my sister just went over without another question. She quickly took the leg I was touching and she straighten it out on her chest. She then started stretching my whole leg from my ankle, and I groaned loudly at the sharp pain running up my leg and to my back. My heart finally started to relax when the pain slowly subsided and my sister gently put my leg back down.

"You have to stretch it out the next time that happens," Amy said softly among the darkness. "Those only get worse in pregnancy."

I let out a tired breath and I put a hand on my belly as it came to life. I cleared my throat as the burning pain in my back started to come back. "Sis. Do you have anything for back pain?"

"Back pain?" she softly whispered. "If you want...I can buy you some medicine a little bit less strong than the ones we have?"

I shook my head on the pillow. "No. That's okay. I don't want you going out. You must be tired."

"No no," she softly said. "It'll be quick. It's just at the pharmacy."

I would have still rejected it, but the pain all over my back started to get stronger and I just said, "Okay. Thank you..." She put a light kiss on my head and I heard her walk out.

I let my eyes close all the time I waited. I tried hard to ignore that pain in my back, but it felt as if I just got run over by a truck. So I preferred to concentrate on those little flips starting inside of me. I put a hand on my belly and felt his strong kicks under my skin. My concentration on its movements did help me a little as I chuckled at a few odd movements that was going on in there. He's going to be a great all-nighter like his mother.

A small rumble started in my stomach and this seemed to have made him more jumpy. I've noticed this pattern lately. Whenever I start to get hungry, it's like he can hear my stomach and he wakes up. When I get really hungry, his movements turn more jumpy. Almost as if he's asking me to feed myself. Well. I suppose I'm feeding him as well.
