CHAPTER 16

After meeting-up with the strange man last night, the next mornin I received a text message informing me that a certain Dr. Kim Seonghoon of Seoul University Hospital will be performing the DNA testing tomorrow at 11:00am. I honestly feel a mixture of fear and excitement. I don't want to have a false hope. What if this is another failure?

I yawned and stretched as I got off he bed to take a shower. I checked the time and it was only 7:00 in the morning. I remember closing my eyes at 3:00 am earlier. I massaged my temporals as I walk slowly to the bathroom. I look at my reflection at the mirror and saw the dark circles under my eyes. I sighed. I was only asleep for 4 hours no wonder I have those ugly eye bags.

I removed ky pajamas and stepped on the shower only to realized that I forgot to regulate its temperature. I screamed in shock as the cold water touched my skin and that totally woke me up. I ended up wide awake as I cuss continuously as I regulate the water temperature.

After the struggle of taking a shower I changed into warm and comfy clothes. I was about to step out the room when my phone rang. My forehead knotted when I realized that it is not registered on my Contacts. Half of me wanted to answer it while half of me doesn't. I don't even know why I am scared. I shook my head and heaved a sigh as I chose to do the former. "Hello?" I answered. There was a few seconds of silence before somebody spoke. "What is your schedule for today?" The male voice on the other line I asked. I moved the phone away from my ears and looked at is as if  a monster will popped out of it. I rolled my eyes before I put it back on my ears and answered. "It is for me to know and for you to find out." I answered sarcastically before I dropped the call and turned off my phone. His number maybe not familiar but his voice, I can tell who it is even just by his breathing sound. I don't even understand why he still bothers me today even though I told him yesterday that I don't want to have any connection with him anymore because we will be filing our divorce soon and one more thing. I don't want to be his mistress! Wait! We are married!!! But he also has a girlfriend.

I made another sigh before I walked out of the building to go to Myeongdong Cathedral to pray for guidance before my 11:00am appointment. At exactly 11:00am I am already inside Dr. Kim Seonghoon's clinic.
"Good Morning, Doc." I greeted the handsome doctor with an awkard smile. "Ah! Miss Park! How are you today?"He asked with a smile that shows hisperfect teeth. "I'm fine thank you and You?" I replied automatically which made cringed. He chucked before he answete. "I'm fine too, thank you." He winked at me and that made me blush. I cleared my throat to hide the embarrassment I was feeling before I spoke again. "Ahm, so Dr. Kim, how long does it take before the result of DNA test comes out?" I asked curiousy. "Ahm, about 4-6 weeks." He answered. There was a few seconds of silence before he suddenly moved closer to e with a cotton swab on his hand. "Miss Park please say "Ah"" He instructed and so even do I am embarrassed I did it.

The procedure actually didn't take a lot of time. Dr. Kim just used a cotton swab and swiped it on the inside of my cheeks and we're done. Just like that. "Okay, that's it! You can close your mouth now." I did as I was told. I watch him put the cotton swab in a cylindrical container before he faced me again. "And now we will wait for the results. So see you in 6 weeks Miss Park?" I nodded my head in reply before I stood up and bowed.

I was on my way out of the hospital when I saw someone familiar walking towards me. He was wearing a yellow checkered polo on top of a black shirt, a bucket hat and a black face mask. I am sure it's Yoongi after observing the way he walks. I am too familiar with all of his actions and gestures since we grew up together. The moment he pulled down his mask all I can do is sigh. I am not yet ready to face him. I am still not over the fact that he has another woman even though we are still married. But wait,what is he doing here?
