CHAPTER 1
Hi! My name is Sarrah Park. I am currently riding the KTX on my way to Seoul. I just left our province because I want to start a new life.
With an anxious heart, I look out the window as raindrops start hitting the window pane. I am not sure if I made the right decision. I live my whole life in the country side with my grandmother but after she died, I have decided to fulfill her last wish.
She made me promise to go to Seoul to look for my biological father. I have no idea if I can survive to live in the city because I have never been there. I swallowed the lump in my throat and put my right hand on my chest trying to calm my heart.
After a few hours of travel, I finally arrived at Seoul Station. It took me another 30 minutes to reach my destination through train which is Gangnam.
I took out a piece of paper and looked at the address and heaved a sigh. Suddenly, I had doubts whether this is a good idea or not. I honestly don't want to look for him anymore since I know that it wouldn't make any difference in my life. I am now an adult. I grew up without a father just fine so I don't see the need to meet him now. I don't need a father to raise me anymore.
I took another deep sigh before I look around the area I am walkibg through. The place is so clean and full of tall buildings but there are only few people walking around. Everything looks so different from where I came from. Maybe I should give it a try since I am already here. If my father denies me or I couldn't find him then I could just go back to our province in Daegu.
I searched for the address written at the piece of paper in my hand. I am slowly getting tired. After a few minutes of walking I finally reached a village with the same address on the paper I was holding. I was awed by the intricate designs on the Iron Gate. "Wow!" I gasped. I only see this kind of places in Dramas.
I stare at the gate and wondered how do I get in? I look around for anyone who can open the gate but I see nobody. "Hello, is anybody there?" I tried to shout but nobody answered and then suddenly the gate slowly opened. I looked around of the person who is resposible for opening the gate but I see no one. Is it a ghost? I felt the hair in my arms stand at the thought. Now, I am not only tired but I am also scared.
I looked around one more time while swallowing the lump in my throat and then I heard a loud blowing of horn behind me. I jump in surprise before I turned around to see a black car coming from behind me. The driver repeated blowing his horn and so I hurriedly went to the side of the road and let him pass through. I watched the car pass by and when I saw the gate closing, my eyes went wide. I hurriedly ran to get inside before it closes down. Luckily, I made it.
I walked slowly inside while looking carefully at the houses I passed by and for anyone who can help me find the exact address on my hand. I kept on walking and walking but I still can't see the exact address.
While I was looking around, I can't help but admire the amazing Architectural Design of each house I passed by. I took out the address in my hand and read it again. It says "111 Dokseodang-ro, Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea". I am only in 70 Dokseodang-ro so that means I am still far from the address.
I can feel beads of sweat starting to fall on my brows. It's really hard to walk when you are carrying 1 large luggage bag and one overnight bag and one backpack. But instead of taking a break, I continued walking to search for the right address. Where is it?
After 30 minutes of walking and searching finally I saw the #111 written outside a house. I stopped right in front of it and look at the address and finally saw that it matched the address on my hand. I uttered a small "Thank God!" and approached the front door with light steps.
I wiped the sweat of my face, took a deep breath and tried to practice my smile before pushing the doorbell.
Ding Dong!
The door opened so fast that it almost hit me. Thank God for my small frame. It missed me by just an inch. It really surprised me, but what surprised me even more it the half naked guy with wet hair standing right in front of me wearing only a towel tied on his waist.
My eyes went wide and I open my mouth to scream, but the man at the door immediately reached out his hand to cover my mouth. I started to panic. I keep pushing him away but he is too strong.
"Yah, Yah! Don't scream! Or we will be in trouble!" he hissed at me.
Is this rape? Is this the end of my life? Oh please God, No! Somebody help me, please. I closed my eyes and begged the heavens for some mercy. Now, regret is coming over me. I shouldn't have left Daegu!
"Taehyung-ah! Who is it?" I heard a deep voice asking from somewhere inside the house. I opened my eyes, and searched for the owner of that familiar voice. My eyes went wide when I saw him. I can't believe to see him here after all these years. What kind of twist of fate is this? I saw his eyes reflecting mine. He looks so shocked to see me here as well.
"Yah! Taehyung-ah! What are you doing? Let her go!" He rushed to my side and pushed the guy covering my mouth away from me. The moment the guy called Taehyung moved aside. Yoongi then grabbed my arm and pulled me outside.
"What are you doing here, Noona? How did you find me?" He asked with hostility. My brows form a tight knot. I removed my arm from his hand and looked at him in disbelief. "Excuse me Mr. Min but I didn't know you were here. I didn't come here to find you." I clarified. I saw him clenched his jaw. Suddenly I am frightened. Did I just upset him? But I was only telling the truth!
"Oh, then you may leave." He stated coldly before he turned his back to me and closed the door behind him. My jaw dropped in disbelief. I felt disappointed and hurt because of his treatment but I won't let it get to me.
I sighed and was about to turn around to leave but then I reached out for the piece of paper on my pocket and read it again and double checked the address written at the door. It's exactly the same. I have no idea what happened. Why is Yoongi here, where my real father is supposed to live? It confuses me but If this is the only way I can fulfill my grabdmother's last wish and where I can find my father then I have no choice. I took another deep breathe before I pressed the doorbell.
"Who is it?" The same guy with a towel only opened the door. "Oh, it's you again." He looked disappointed but I am don't care. I grabbed my bags and enter the house without invitation. "YAH! YAH! What are you doing?" He scrambled on his feet and stood right in front of me as if to stop me from entering the house.
I looked at him straight in the eyes and responded. "I am not leaving. I am staying whether you like it or not." I saw how his eyes went wide with shock.
"WHAAAAAAAAAT?!" I heard Taehyung screamed with both of his hands on his face mimicking Kevin in Home Alone. I rolled my eyes with his exaggeration. And then I saw Min Yoongi looking at me with his eyes wide with shock but didn't say anything.
Just then I heard large footsteps coming from the stairs. "Wha---what---what is going on here?" I heard one of the voices asked. And as I looked up, I saw five handsome guys, looking at me, then at Yoongi and then at Taehyung. Suddenly, I doubted my decision of staying. Wait, am I even sure that this is the right address of my father? If that is so, then where is he?
